It was late really late in London it was half another till new year and Anthony still wasn't home, he'd left to go get something picked up from a friend or something, well that's what he told Dec anyway.

"Come on man" Ant said frustrated in traffic and he seen there was only 27 minutes now and he was starting to panic as he looked at the small box on the spare seat "finally" Ant said and went through the green light racing through London not caring about the speed he was going at he just wanted to get Declan back in his arms for the bells.

"Hey have you seen Ant he's been away a while" Dec asked Stephen who was a bit drunk "nope I haven't but have you seen where the drink is" Stephen asked looking around "yes Stephen it's my house I know where it is come on" Dec said taking him to get a drink "youse have only been together just under a year it feels like forever" Stephen said in his drunken state and Dec smiled "I know he's my everything but we're having words if he's not back in..." Dec said and looked at his watch "25 minutes" he added and went out to the garden where everyone was getting excited as it got closer, everyone with their partners ant and Decs family down from Newcastle just a whole family occasion....

Soon enough there was only 10 minutes to go and Ant was so close to the house but got stopped at a red light "aww man come on" he shouted in his car and waited for it too change, it felt like forever till it went green and he flew down the street and turned into their driveway "10..9..8..7" everyone stared chanting and Dec joined in but wanted Ant by his side "6..5..4..3" they continued as Ant darted through the house "Hiya hey have a good one mate" he said to many as he flew past and he seen Dec holding a beer in the crowd of people "2..1" everyone shouted and as the fireworks went off Ant turned Dec around and kissed him passionately "HAPPY NEW YEAR" everyone shouted and hugged each other as ant and Dec kissed "you were cutting that fine love" Dec said pulling away "I had to get this, now I'm not proposing well not yet it's a promise ring, it means I'll always be here no matter what" Ant said and opened the box and it was a sliver ring with 'A&D' engraved into it "I love it" Dec said as Ant put it on his finger "and I love you" Dec added and kissed Ant again "happy new year baby" Ant whispered as they enjoyed the fireworks display and brought in 2017
