Ivy's POV

I don't remember falling asleep, but when I woke up, I was still on the couch, Avi passed out next to me. I slowly straightened up, careful not to wake him and tossed the blanket off me. That must have been his doing. How sweet.

I stood up and stretched, looking at the time. 8:32. Shit. "Avi wake up. We're going to be late," I said, shaking him in an effort to get him up.

He groaned, unintelligible words escaping his lips as he laid down completely, facing the back of the couch. "You have got to be kidding me. Avi get your lazy ass up," I repeated, shaking him a bit harder. Nothing. I wonder... "Fine. I'll just keep the barbecue I planned on getting tonight for myself.

Just like that he was up and on his feet. "Ridiculous. Get dressed. We have to be at the studio in twenty minutes." I walked out, heading straight to the kitchen. Grabbing myself an apple, I ate it quickly and waited in the living room, slipping my shoes back on. I was still in my clothes from the party and while not the most comfortable, I didn't really have a choice.

Minutes later, Avi bounded downstairs, pulling a black beanie over his wild hair. He probably didn't even brush it. Shaking my head, I laughed as he grabbed my hand and pulled me out the door. On the way to the studio, I used the mirror in the car to fix my makeup, wiping away the smudges and making it look halfway decent before redoing my hair quickly. Letting out a sigh, I checked my teeth and sat back just as we pulled into the parking lot.

We walked into the recording room with minutes to spare, and I ignored the looking coming from everyone. "Ben had to go talk to someone about something so spill. What the hell was that last night and how do you know Catherine?" Mitch asked bluntly, causing me to widen my eyes a bit.

Taking my seat, I sighed and leaned back. They were going to find out eventually. "Long story short, I was thrown into an orphanage because of her. She's my biological sister and that's all you need to know for right now," I said sternly, relaxing against the back of my seat.

"Woah...I guess I can kind of see it. I thought you two looking alike was just a coincidence," Kevin said with a shrug.

I didn't say anything. Instead, I waited patiently for Ben to return, thankful when he walked in the door minutes later.  "Alright guys up up up. Get in there, we've got work to do," he said with a smile as he took his seat. They all filed into the sound booth, Avi pausing briefly to kiss the top of my head. There wasn't anything going on between us, but the look on the others' faces told me they believed otherwise.

I rolled my eyes and watched carefully as they got to work. Not even two hours later, Ben looked to me curiously. "Look I hate to treat you like an actual intern, but do you think you could run to Starbucks and get us all something to drink and eat?"

I hesitated before standing up and straightening out my dress. "I-My car is at my house because I got a ride here but I could ask Avi if I could borrow his to run and get it," I said, earning a nod from him.

He stopped the music and pressed a small button with a microphone on it. "Take five," he said and they walked out with a smile.

I walked over to Avi immediately and put on a smile. "Hey do you mind if I borrow your car for a few minutes? I haven't had mine since yesterday and Ben wants me to run and grab something to eat and drink for everyone," I said softly, keeping my eyes on his to gauge his reaction.

I wasn't expecting the smile that tugged at his lips as he pulled the keys out of his pocket and handed them to me. Be careful. I don't want my baby to get hurt," he said with a smile.

I shook my head slightly and laughed. "I'll make sure your car gets back in one piece," I said and went to turn and leave.

"I meant you." Those three words caused me to freeze, my face turning tomato red. Instead of saying anything, I quickly walked out before anyone could say anything to me. As I headed outside, a smile remained plastered on my face. I probably looked mentally challenged.

While I was out, I heard my phone vibrate against my leg. Kirstie. I quickly answered, stopping at a red light. "Hey Kirst what's up?"

"One we need to talk and soon. Including Scott and Mitch. And two, do you mind getting a regular black coffee for Jeremy? He decided to surprise me and showed up not even five minutes after you left."

"Sure I can do that and there's nothing to talk about but whatever you say. "I'll be back in a little bit," I said and hung up, turning the music up. When I got back to the studio, I got out and pulled out both cup carriers and both bags of food. Setting them on the top of the car, I slammed the door shut and locked the doors before situating my phone into the left strap of my dress, making sure it was secure. After using my pinkie to hold the keys, I gathered both carriers, balancing them on one arm and holding both bags with the other hand. I guess being a waitress comes in handy.

I carefully made my way inside, using my foot to knock on the door of the recording room. The door swung open, revealing a tall man with sandy brown hair. "You must be Ivy."

I nodded and smiled a bit. "Help please?" I asked, starting to struggle with keeping everything balanced. He quickly grabbed the carriers and I sighed thankfully as I walked in and closed the door behind me. After we distributed the food and drink, we sat around talking about nothing.

It wasn't long after I finished that I heard my phone chime with a new message. I looked down, seeing a number I wished to never see again.

D: Come to the lobby and just hear me out then I'll leave you alone for good if you want.

I clench my jaw in frustration and get up, walking out without a word to anyone. I headed into the lobby, seeing Dean's familiar face and crossed my arms. "You have five minutes."

"I only need five seconds," he said and quickly closed the gap between us. He took my face in his hands and kissed me fiercely. As he pulled back, I stared at him with no emotion on my face.

"Don't touch me again. I want nothing to do with you."

"Come on baby. That wannabe lumberjack ain't got nothing on me and you know it. Just give me another chance," he said, closing he space between us once more. Before he could kiss me again, I brought my hand across his face as hard as I could before backing up.

"I said to leave me alone!" I said, starting to raise my voice.

"I don't care. You're coming with me whether you like it or-"

"I thought I told you last night that the lady said to leave her alone. She wants nothing to do with you so I suggest you leave before we call the cops." Avi's deep voice echoed loudly in the large lobby, nearly making me jump out of my skin. He swiftly walked over, stepping in front of me protectively.

"And tell them what? I haven't done anything wrong."

"Stalking. You were at the party last night and you showed up here. You forced me to kiss you and didn't listen when I told you not to touch me. I'm sure if I told them I was scared for my life they could do something," I spoke up, peeking out from behind Avi.

Dean stared between myself and Avi before smirking slightly. "Like I said. You're coming with me whether you like it or not," he said throwing Avi to the ground with force.

"Oh my god!" I knelt down to check on him when I felt someone grab me by the hair and force me up. The pain was almost unbearable, then there was nothing.
