Ivy's POV
"Hurry it up! I swear you take longer than Mitch to get ready!" I rolled my eyes as Avi yelled at me for the fifth time from downstairs. I finished putting my shoes on and grabbed my phone with the charger before making my way downstairs.
"I swear if you rush me one more time, I'm taking every last piece of meat out of that fridge and freezer and throwing it in the trash," I said, kneeling down and petting Draco with a smile. It amazed me just how big he had gotten in five months.
"If you do then I'll cry," Avi said as he pulled on his black beanie.
"And I won't feel bad." I smiled a bit at his feigned hurt expression and stood up when I heard a knock on the door. "It's open!" I called, glancing to the door when a girl came in. "Thank you so much for watching him, Jess."
"What are friends for?" the blonde asked with a smile. Avi had been skeptical about me asking an old friend to watch the dog for us, he wanted him to go to a doggy daycare. It took a little bit of bribing and reminding him that I lived there first before he finally agreed.
"His food's in the bottom cabinet in the laundry room," he said as he quickly grabbed my hand and pulled me towards the door.
"See you later. Thanks again!" I called, pulling my arm away from Avi once the door was closed. "I get that we're in a rush but calm down. I bet we won't even be the last ones there," I said as I climbed into the passenger seat of the car.
The entire ride to the tour bus, I spent my time going over my list of songs over and over again. I was beyond nervous and our first show wasn't even until tomorrow. "Calm down. You'll do great," Avi said, never taking his eyes off the road until we got there.
"I hope so," I said with a small sigh and hopped out, going to the back to grab my bags before he could say something. I managed to carry them to the bus and helped Esther load them up.
"You ready?" she asked once the last of my bags were loaded up.
I shook my head back and forth. "Yes," I said, causing her to laugh a bit.
"You'll be fine. We support you," she told me with a smile.
I shook my head slightly and climbed onto the bus, taking a chance to look around. It was much nicer than I anticipated, albeit small. I made my way through the bus and through a door, opening up to a back lounge where Kirstie and Kevin was.
"Sorry, we had to wait on the dog sitter," I told them as I sat down on the couch.
"Please. Keep in mine the two secret lovebirds aren't even here yet," Kevin said with an infectious laugh that soon had me and Kirstie laughing as well.
"What's all the laughing about?" I heard Avi ask as he walked into the room.
"Your baby pictures," I answered without thinking. Needless to say, the look on his face was horrified and hilarious.
I started cracking up and held my arms out to him without getting up. "I'm not that mean," I told him as he crossed the small room and sat on my lap. As if on cue, Scott and Mitch strolled in with giant grins.
"THE PARTY HAS ARRIVED!!!!" Mitch yelled and began dancing to a beat that must have been playing in his head and only his head.
"It's ten in the morning. It's too early to party," Kirstie spoke up as she shook her head at her best friend.
"You take that back! It's never too early to party," he said, placing a hand on his chest as if he were offended. Then again knowing him, he might have been.
