Avi's POV

She's so peaceful when she's asleep. I gently moved my legs back and forth, keeping my swing going as the bad sat around the park, coming up with ideas to make the arrangements better. But my mind really wasn't that much into it. I was too busy watching Ivy sleep on the bench, her head resting on her arm to prevent marks and her mouth slightly open.

I hadn't talked to her since Friday, mainly because she didn't show up yesterday. She still had my hoodie on but instead of sweats, she just had on some leggings and a pair of combat boots. Occasionally I'd look at the others to make sure they hadn't realized I wasn't really paying attention, but they never did. I hadn't seen any fresh cuts when I checked her wrists this morning to see how the other ones were healing which was good. Maybe it's just when she feels there's no other option.

She looked exhausted this morning. Another thing I have to ask about. I looked around once again, this time catching Kirstie's eye. Damn girls and their heightened senses. The look on her face told me she knew I had been staring at Ivy, but I didn't acknowledge it. I paid attention long enough for her to become engrossed in the conversation again, but immediately looked back to Ivy. By the time we finished, she still hadn't woken up until Kevin started talking. I noticed her starting to stir and immediately looked away, not wanting to seem creepy.

Ivy's POV

"I think we've done good, especially with having five different songs to arrange." Kevin's voice carries through the air, waking me from a deep sleep. When did that even happen? I didn't remember falling asleep. It was Sunday and we were all at the park still worrying about getting these songs arranged so they were perfect. Honestly, I wouldn't even be here had it not been for the band's constant calls to see what I thought yesterday.

I groaned softly, sitting up on the bench and stretched out my arms and legs. It was only four in the evening and we had been there since ten. "Well, well, well. Look who finally decided to wake up," Mitch said, looking over at me with a perfect eyebrow raised.

"How long was I out?" I ask sleepily, stuffing my hands into the center pocket of the hoodie I was wearing. The same hoodie I wore since Friday (a fact I refuse to tell them since they didn't see me Saturday), but it wasn't my fault. Despite the illogical statement about dragons, it was comfortable and I didn't plan on giving it back anytime soon.

"Almost three hours. You ate less than half of your food and then passed out," Kirstie answered simply.

"Can you blame her? She looked like she hadn't slept all night when she showed up twenty minutes late," Mitch said as he gave me a pointed look.

"I just overslept," I argue, letting out an involuntary yawn. "I slept fine." Lie. I hadn't hardly slept in two days, but they didn't need to know that either. It was obvious in their eyes they were skeptical as well.

"Are you sure? You just seemed out of it this morning," Avi said, looking over at me from the swing he was on. There was something about his gaze that made it difficult for me to speak. Instead, I nodded simply and quickly adverted my eyes.

"Well I don't know about you queens, but Momma needs her coffee and some food," Mitch spoke up, standing up off the bench across from me. Scott immediately stood and nodded. "I can agree to that," he said as he pulled Mitch towards their car. They were so cute together.

"Yeah, I gotta go, too. I promised my mom I'd go help her cook dinner tonight," Kevin said and hopped out of the swing he was in next to Avi. So sweet.

"Ivy can I talk to you?" Kirstie asked, glancing over at Avi. "Alone?"

Taking the hint, he stood up and walked over to me without a sound. "I'll call later to check on you," he whispered and left. I couldn't hide the blush with my hands, so I used the sleeves of the hoodie, pretending to warm my face.
