Avi's POV

I watched in complete silence as Dean suddenly collapsed on the floor, revealing a girl around the same age holding a taser. My first instinct was to run over to Ivy and check on her, but she beat me to it. I felt her arms wrap around my waist and didn't hesitate to return the gesture, carefully sifting my fingers through her soft hair. "Shh... it's okay," I whispered soothingly, not letting go just yet.

"Who are you?" I heard Mitch ask as he and the others walked over to us, though his eyes remained on the strange blonde.

"Kalyn. I'm one of Ivy's friends," she said calmly, turning the taser off. I immediately felt Ivy tense up in my arms, but she didn't look up. She never mentioned any names when she was telling me about this douchebag cheating on her with one of her friends, but from her body language, this was the girl.

"I think it's best if you go," I said, not taking my eyes off her, earning a curious look from the group.

"Avi, she just practically saved her, and you're gonna kick her out?" Kirstie asked, furrowing her brows with confusion.

"Yes. Anyone that does what she did doesn't deserve forgiveness."

"She told you." Kalyn's words came out more like a knowing statement rather than a question. I gave a simple nod , not saying a word as I felt Ivy start to shift around. She pulled away and gave a small nod before taking a noticeable breath and turning around. "Ivy, I am so sorry for what I did. I know it was wrong but I just couldn't help myself. I was stupid and regret every second of it."

"He's right. After what you did, you don't deserve my forgiveness. The least you could have done was told me. You don't deserve my forgiveness, but you have it," Ivy said, stepping closer to the girl.

Kalyn visibly relaxed, a smile spreading across her face. It was a gesture that wasn't returned by Ivy. "But that doesn't mean I'm going to be your friend again. They're way better friends than you ever were. I trusted you and you broke that. You have my forgiveness but not my friendship," Ivy said quietly.

Just as the words left her mouth, a couple cops walked through the front door, and looked at all of us, then to Dean. "Is this the man that's been messing with you?" one of them asked curiously, and I gave a slight nod, wondering who had called the cops.

The immediately put him in handcuffs and escorted him out. I looked to Ivy, seeing she was watching him leave. Her gaze returned to the blonde, her expression emotionless. "I think you should leave," she said and turned without another word, walking over to the trio. "Who called the cops?" she asked curiously.

It was then that I heard a cough coming from the desk. The receptionist gave a shy smile as she raised her hand. "You all looked uncomfortable and I saw everything he tired to do to Miss Ivy so I called them."

"Thank you Jasmine," I said and gave her a small smile. I walked over to the others, gently rubbing Ivy's back. "I hate to do this but we have to at least finish recording those songs today. We have a deadline we have to meet," I said with a small frown.

I could sense the reluctance, and it was understandable considering what just happened. Ivy glanced at all of us and nodded as she looked down. "Are you sure? You can always go home and relax," Ben spoke up, concern lacing his voice.

She nodded a bit, still not saying hardly a word. "I'd feel better here," she said softly. The others reluctantly nodded and Kevin gave me a look that told me I had some explaining to do. Without a word, we went back into the studio and started work again. Even while I was in the sound booth, I kept an eye on Ivy, surprised when I saw her smiling as she watched us, occasionally saying something to Ben. It amazed me how quickly she could change her demeanor. It may not have been the most honest emotion right now, but at least she was trying.

It opened up something in my heart. It was weird. Never in a million years would I think I'd fall for someone after Catherine, so you can imagine my initial shock when I realized I was falling for her sister.

A/N: Happy New Years!!!! This chapter is definitely shorter than my other ones, but it was kind of a filler chapter with hints of significance. Hope you enjoy!
