Chapter 8~The Big Day

James' POV
"James up now"I heard someone say.I open up my tired eyes to see my mom opening my curtains and putting my shoes away.

I sat up in my bed and looked out the window it was still dark."What time is it"I asked rubbing my eyes.

"Half five now hurry up I need you to change Ollie while I make breakfast and let the caterers in"."Half five are you actually kidding me"I said.

"I'm dead serious, the wedding is at 11 so we need to be at the church at,at least half ten so come on let's get moving"she said.

"I feel like this is becoming a routine"I said while she walked out of my room.I slowly got out of bed and walked into the kitchen after playing with my hair so it wasn't too messy.

In the kitchen,Lee and Johnny were sitting at the table looking just as tired as I felt."Morning"I said as I put on the kettle."Morning"they replied in unison.

Then my mum walked in,"I'm making breakfast you go and change Ollie for me"she said.I walked out of the kitchen and into my parents and Ollie's room.

Ollie was in his cot and my dad was asleep on the bed.I picked Ollie up and got him into a baby grow.Then I brought him into the kitchen and put him in his high chair.

There was plates laid out on the table so I sat down beside Lee,opposite Johnny.We ate are breakfast and talked about the football.Then I had a shower,when I got out of it I wrapped a towel around my waist and walked into my bedroom.

I closed my door and turned to see Aunt Babe standing in my room (technically she is my great grand aunt but we just say Aunt)

"Oh,Babe what are you doing here"."Sorry"she said in a hurried tone"Just looking for something"then she rushed out of the room.'What is wrong with my family'

Mick's POV
"James where are ya I need a word"I shouted in the hall.I had just got dressed."I'm in here"I heard him say from his room.I walked in.

There was my son with his fine suit on "well" he said turning to look at me "how do I look".

I smiled,I walked over and put my hands on his shoulders."Like a proper posh bloke"I replied."Im proud of you boy"."I'm not the one getting married"he answered.

"Not yet son but you will and when you do I'll be there smiling and telling you how much I love you"."I love you too" he said."I better go help lee get ready".I watched him go.

James' POV
I walked into the lounge.There was Lee standing in front of a mirror smiling.

"Lee about the money" I started ."Oh,look at you two"Mom said as she came in smiling."Lee I am so proud of you",she held his hands "Now come on I'll put both of your flowers on"

"She put them on our jackets and then realised the time. "Oh my god it's quarter past ten,come on let's go I better go get the car ready" I went to follow her but Lee grabbed my arm.

"What were you going to say about the money"he said,his eyes full of concern."I have it sorted"I smiled.

It killed me to lie to him but I knew it was the only way he could enjoy today."Thank god,I was worried"he said."No need to be"I lied "Now let's get you married"I smirked

At the church James' POV
"Can everyone take there seats please"Johnny said."You ready"I asked Lee."As ready as I'll ever be" he replied.

The music started playing and I saw Whitney linked with her brother.I smiled.She reached the altar and joined hands with Lee.

The ceremony passed quickly and then it came to the main bit."Do you Lee Carter take Whitney Dean to be your lawfully wedded wife"the celebrant asked.There was a pause."Johnny what's he doing"I whispered."I d-d-do"he said with a smile.

"And do you Whitney Dean take Lee Carter to be your lawful wedded husband"."I do"she replied surely."You may now kissed the bride" she said.

That was that Lee had married Whitney.He kept his promise now I had to keep mine
