Chapter 12~The night

James POV
Griffin got down without any hassle but when Cian was on the pipe he slipped and couldn't put his legs anywhere so his arms were the only thing keeping him from falling.

Then my grandmother Shirley came out and saw him hanging there and ran in to get help."Go"Cian shouted.We didn't move,My dad and Jack came out followed by our moms and others."Run,Go"Cian shouted as he struggled to hold on.

I looked at Griffin we knew we had to go.We sprinted away from the scene."Oi"I heard my dad shout behind us.I glanced back he was standing there looking at us run.

Next thing Lee started chasing after us so we ran even faster.He wasn't closing the gap but we weren't making it bigger,as Lee was in the army and Griffin and I are just exceptional runners.

I looked back after about 2 minutes of straight sprinting.Lee was just standing there watching us go. "Why did he stop"I thought.

We sprinted until we reached the train station.We sat down on a bench outside it."What are we doing?"I said catching my breath.

I stood up."I mean what were we thinking,escape and do what" I said angrily. "Do you think he's alright" Griffin said as he lifted his head from his knees,tears in his eyes.

That made me think,Cian was just hanging off the Vic when we left him.I sat down on the bench "He will be ok,yeah he has to be he's Cian"I said my eyes filling with water.

"What if he fell,what about if he..."."No Griffin listen to me he couldn't have,ok just stop,he will be fine".I suddenly realised that I had left the jacket of my suit in the living room so I was just in my shirt and tie.I started to feel shivers going through my body from the cold.

I rubbed my arms to try and warm up."Seriously,like what did we think was going to happen,now we are stuck out here no where to go,this is such a mess"I said.

I checked my pockets to see what I had on me all I had was was 5 pounds and a packet of chewing gum."5 pound,it's something at least"I sighed "What about you?"I asked Griffin.

He reached into his pockets.He pulled out 10 pounds and a key.He smiled "Is that" I began "The key to Patrick's allotment shed,yep"He informed me.We both grinned.

Griffin's POV
Maybe we only had 15pounds,chewing gum and some wooden shed key but to us this meant we had some shelter and some money from food.

I knew that the Minute Mart was open until 10:00 Friday to Sunday so if we ran we'd definitely make it in before it closed.

"What if someone sees us" James asked."They won't.Come on we'll be careful"I replied."Fine" he said.

It took us about 10 minutes to get there.Inside we could see Denise as we walked in."Oh hello boys"Denise smiled "Bored of the wedding already".We laughed as we went to look for what to get.

We got 4blankets,4bottles of water,2 loaves of bread,ham,grapes and crisps."That'll be £10•50"Denise said.I gave her £10 pound,oh"I said pretending to be short of cash "I don't have the 50 pence"."It's fine" Denise said happily "We all do it eh".

"Thanks a million Denise,you are a beauty"I said as we went to leave the shop. "Denise,you haven't seen Patrick lately" James asked her. "Yeah he was at home the last time I saw him" she answered.

"Is it ok if we just pop in to ask him about his allotment "He lied."Yeah of course he'd love the company"she said."Ok thanks again".

"Why are we 'popping'into Patrick" I asked. "We are going to be sleeping in his shed the least we could do is ask" He replied.
James' POV
We knocked on the door.Patrick opened it "Oh hello boys,I wasn't excepting you to visit" he said in his Jamaican accent.

"Yeah we just have a small favour to ask"James said."Well you better come in"He replied."It won't take a minute"I said as we followed him into the lounge.

"It's just"I started "We got into a fight with Bobby and then he said we hit him for no reason but we didn't but then are parents didn't believe us so they took are phones and locked us in a room and then we climbed out the window but then cian slipped and was clinging to a ledge but then he shouted at us to run so we did and we just bought some supplies for the night and we have a key to your allotment shed from when we painted it so we were wondering can we sleep there for just tonight".I ranted.

"Woah" he laughed "that's quite the mouthful.About my shed,I can't let you stay because Kim already told me that ye ran off earlier and hadn't been seen since so when Denise texted me to say you were coming over there was only one thing to do".

James and I looked at each other. "What?" James asked "What did you do,Patrick".There was a knock on the door "I called your parents".

I felt a world of fear build up inside me.
