Chapter 4

I drove in the school parking lot. I got a couple of stares. I guess they've never seen a girl ride a motorcycle. I took of my helmet and looked around. Hmm. I guess no one rides a motorcycle around here. I hopped off and walked to the front door with my helmet. I went to the front desk. "Hello. I'm new here, I came to pick up my schedule." I said placing my helmet in the counter. "Yes Ms. Lopez." She said looking for my schedule. I looked around. Not too bad. "Here you go Ms. Lopez. Hope you have a great year here at La Vernia High School." she said with the most fake at smile. "Thanks." I said. I looked at the paper. My schedule and a locker combination. Sweet. I was walking to my locker when I bumped into someone. "Ugh. Watch where you're going." I said annoyed. i was already on the floor due to the person bumping into me. "Oh. I'm so sorry. Are you new here?" I looked. It had to be the most handsomest boy I've ever seen. He had the most beautiful brown eyes. And his hair was perfect black. And he had the most amazing smile ever. "Oh. Uhm yes. My first day actually." I said as he helped me up. "I'm Robert. Robert Villanueva. what's your name?" he asked. "My name is Skylar Lopez. I just moved here from Minnesota." I said. "Sweet. He if you need someone to show you around I can help you." He said with hope in his eyes. "Sure that would be great."

I had my first 2 classes with Robert. English and math. We talked during the whole class periods. He told me he has 5 main friends. Their names are Austin, alex, zach, tyler, and Cameron. All if them went to school here except for Austin and Alex. I wonder why. I told him everything about me. But I think I forgot to tell him about Kylie. Not because I'm ashamed, but because the bell rang. "Well I'll walk you to your next class. I don't have it with you. But you do have it with Zach and Cameron. I'll make sure that you're not alone." Robert said with a wink. And for the first time in a while, I blushed. "Ok." I said. I went I my class and he introduced us real quick before he had to go. "Hey. So this is Skylar. Be nice to her she's new." Robert said just before leaving. "Ayye. Hey Skylar. What brings you here?" Zach said. "My dad got transferred over here from his job." I said. "Ight. That understandable." Cameron said. Class started but it was boring so I got on my phone. Class finished and the day went by in a blur. Finally lunch time. I went to the daycare to go have lunch with Kylie. "Hey! Skylar!" I heard someone say. I turned to see Robert. "Oh. Hey Robert. What's up?" I asked. "You know our school isn't an open campus right?" he told me. "Oh I know. I already talked to the principal about it." I said. I walked to my motorcycle. "Woah. This is yours?" he asked. "Yeah. Do you know any good places to eat?" I asked. "Whataburger is a great burger joint." he said. I saw him eyeballing my bike. "Do you want to come?" I asked him. "I can ride with you?" he asked. "Yeah. I always have an extra helmet." I said taking out the extra helmet I had in the side container. "Here you go." he put it on. I got in the front and he sat behind me. Luckily it had the extra back seat. I felt his strong arms go around my stomach. "Let's go." I said. And we went off.
