My new life

Chapter 16

It was 8 already. I guess Robert is going to pick us up since I don't know where we are going. My parents were coming downstairs as the doorbell rang.

"That should be Robert!" I say.

Kylie comes running down the stairs. I see her in the gorgeous black and gold dress Robert bought her. He even got her new Jordan's to match.

I opened the door to see Robert with a white rose. I look behind him to see a hummer limo.

"You rented a hummer limo?" I said in shock.

"Yeah. only the best for the best." He said. He picked up a yellow rose and give it to my mom.

"For you Mrs. Lopez." he said.

"Thank you Mr. Villanueva." she said. We all went into the limo.

"I didn't forget you Kylie." He said giving her a daisy.

"Ooh I love it! thanks wobbie!" she said.

- 30 minutes later -

We came to this fancy restaurant. I don't even know how to pronounce the name of it. We all walked inside together.

"Reservations for Villanueva." Robert said very professional.

"Yes sir. Right this way." The waitress said. She led is to a back room with a long table with three candles.

"I'll be back in ten minutes to take your order." The waitress said.

"Thank you." Robert said to her. When the waitress left we started to sit down. He pulled his chair for his mom, then me, then helped Kylie on to a high chair.

We were talking for a while then the waitress came. We all ordered out food and went back to talking.

- Roberts P.O.V. -

We all ordered our food already. This day is going great so far. I can't wait to give sky her surprise.

The food usually takes about 20-30 minutes to bring our food so I decided to give her the surprise. Here goes nothing.

I cleared my throat. Then I tapped my fork against the glass. I had to go on YouTube to learn that. I got all their attention.

"Hello and merry Christmas. I hope y'all are enjoying your time. There is one reason why I brought everybody here. And it is because of Skylar." I said.

Everybody looked at her and she looked shocked. I walked towards her. I grabbed her hand.

"Skylar Marie Lopez, the moment I first laid my eyes on you, I knew you were the one for me. I did everything I could to get your attention. Then you said yes when I asked you on a date. When I first met your daughter, I felt like she was my own. We have been going out for four months already and they have been the best days of my life. I know that we are still young now, but I promise that when we are ready, I will ask you to marry me and start our lives together as a married couple. But for now, I promise to be your homie, lover, and friend. I will whatever you need me to be. I will stay by your side forever, even if we do break up because I love you no matter what." I said. Then I pulled out a promise ring. Engraved on the inside if the ring was the date of when we first started going out.

- skylar's P.O.V. -

I was in complete shock. Did he just do that? I look at him and give him a hug.

He chuckles. "I'll take that as a yes." he says.

He puts the ring on my right ring finger. "I love you so much Robert." I say. "I love you more Skylar." Robert replies. I look at my parents and they couldn't be happier. Roberts moms face is glowing. I look at Kylie.

"So you getting married mommy?" Kylie asked. We all start laughing.

"No. Not yet." Robert said to her. I immediately start blushing after he said that.

The rest of the dinner went great. The food was delicious. On the ride back me and Robert were having a burping competition. Our parents were looking at us like if we are weird. I love the simple moments we have with each other. And tomorrow we head out to Miami! I'm so excited!
