Chapter 5

We grabbed our food from the whataburger drive through. "Where are we going?" he asked. "Uhm. To a daycare." I said. "Ooookay." He said unsure of himself. We made it there in 3 minutes since it was close. We had 20 minutes with Kylie. We went in. "Hello. I came to have lunch with Kylie Lopez." I said. "She's in the butterfly room." the lady said. I went with Robert behind. "So is she a relative?" he asked. "Don't be quick to judge. she's my daughter." I said as we walked in. "Oh. so do you have a boyfriend or anything?" he asked scratching the back if his neck. "Uhm. No. And if you're asking who her biological father is, I was raped and molested. When I was a freshman." I said. We walked in. "Mommy!" Kylie yelled as we saw her. "Oh. Sorry to hear that." he said. "No biggie. I hope you don't mind that we are eating with a bunch of toddlers." I told him. "No biggie. I love kids." he said.

Not even ten minutes later it was like Kylie and Robert were having a blast. He was laughing a lot if the rings she said. "Mommy is wobert your boyfriend?" she asked eating fries. We all stopped laughing. "Uhm. No he's my friend." I told her. "Yeah. You can't go out with a person you met. That's cliche." Robert said as we both blushed. I looked at the time. "Kyles, we gotta go baby. see you after school." I said giving her a kiss. "Bye mommy. Bye wobert." she said. "Bye Kylie." He said with a smile. I walked out saying bye to the teachers. "So. Your daughter is nice. She's beautiful like you." Robert said. I looked at him and blushed. "At least he didn't get the guys looks." I said real awkwardly. "Yeah. Luckily." he said. We got on my bike and headed to school.

"There are the ditchers!" I heard Zach yell. "Here we are!" I said. It's unbelievable how close I have gotten with these guys. It's comforting. "Ayyyy where were y'all at?" Cameron asked. "Uhm. we went to the daycare to have lunch with my daughter." I said. "Oh. You gotta baby?" Zach said. "Yeah. Wanna see a picture?" I asked him. And they both yelled yes at me. "Ok gosh. Calm down." I said as I showed them the picture on my phone. "Skylar. She looks just like you." Cameron said. "Yeah. She has your light brown eyes." Zach said. "Yeah. She's the best thing that has ever happened to me." I said. And we headed to class. and soon enough school was over. I survived my first day.
