chapter 21

~•Jason's pov•~
I was preparing my lunch at home when I get a call from the hospital.
"Mr. Smith are you a friend of Mia Clark?" a woman asks me. I get a bad feeling with this.
"Yes, I am. What happened?"
"Ms. Clark got hit by a bus. She's in a stable state but she's in a coma. If you want to know more you should come to the hospital."
"I'm on my way." He put my phone away and hurry out of my appartment. I rush to my car and drive as fast as I can to the hospital. This is so bad! Why does she have to go through this? I'm worrying about her.

As I finally get to the hospital, I immediatelly rush over to the infodesk.
"My friend, Mia Clark is here. In which room can I find her?" I ask out of breath. The woman behind the desk tips something in her computer.
"Third floor, room 256."
"Thanks."

When I arrive at her room I already see Sam her cousin speaking to a doctor. I walk over to them.
"What happened exactly?" I ask rightaway.
"We don't know how exactly what happened, but Ms. Clark got hit by a bus. She hit her head, but fortunately didn't break a bone. She's in a coma now, but stable." the doctor says.
"And when will she wake up?" Sam asks. I can see he's as worried as I am. He cares about her as much as I do.
"Probably today. Otherwise in the next few days."
"Can we visit her?"
"Yes you can"
The doctor guides us into her room. Mia is lying there peacefully. She has some bruises on her face and a bandage around her head.
I sit on her bed next to her and hold her hand. Sam sits on the other side.

Sam and I talk for a while and I also tell him the things happened between Shawn and Mia. He is angry at him, maybe even more than I am.

~•Mia's pov•~
My eyes open. Where am I? What am I doing here? Why am I wearing this and why is there a bandage around my head? I look around and see that I'm in a hospital room. What the hell happened?

I get up from the bed. My legs feel flabby and I have to concentrate to be able to stand straight. I walk over to the door, my hand on the door handle, when I hear some voices yelling from outside.
"No Shawn! She for sure doesn't want to see you!"
"I just want to know if she's fine!"
"But I already said she's fine. Now go!"
"No! I will stay until she wakes up"
"After everything you did to her you still think she wants to see you? You hurt her! You hurt her really bad!"
I think it's Jasons and Shawns voices. I open the door and stumble outside.
Both of them look at my surprised.
"Mia?!" They both say at the same time.
I just look at them. Then I feel my head spinning and everything went black again.

~•Shawn's pov•~
"After everything you did to her you still think she wants to see you? You hurt her! You hurt her really bad!" Jason yells at me. He's right, she probably doesn't want to see me, but I just need to know that she's fine.
I want to say something when I hear a door open. I turn around and see her stumble into the corridor.
"Mia?!" Jason and I say at once.
She looks confused and doesn't say anything. She just looks at us. Then she grabs her head and her eyes close. the next thing I know is holding her unconscious body in my arms.

After Mia lost conciousness I'm in the waiting room. I'm really worried about her. I see Sam,her cousin, coming out of the room. He's coming straight my way with clenched fists.
"How is she?" I ask him.
"How dare you to come here after everything you did?" He yells at me pointing with a finger on my chest. He was about to punch me, when Jason comes and pulls him away.
"Sam, no! He's not worth it." He looks at me with an angry face.
"Yeah, you're right. And now leave this building or you will regret it. I never want to see you again!" Sam says with clenched teeth.
They turn around and walk away. I should leave now. I walk out of the hospital. I would have deserved it, if Sam punched me...

~•Mia's pov•~
I wake up again. I look around and see Jason and Sam sitting on chairs.
"Mia! I'm glad you woke up." Jason says.
"What happened to me? Why am I here?" My voice is raspy and it hurts to speak.
"You got hit by a bus. You hit your head and you were in a coma." Sam speaks calmly.
Then the memories come back. Me walking on the street, checking my phone, seeing the pictures of Shawn and Camila and finally when everything went black. Oh Shawn. My heart hurts at the thought of him.

A doctor comes in and tells us that I will be able to leave in 3 days. Then he leaves again.
There is a silence between us three.
"Did Shawn came over to visit?" I finally ask the question I wanted to ask since I woke up.
Jason and Sam look at each other and then Jason speaks.
"Yes he came but he left after Sam told him to."
"Oh okay." I don't know if I should be happy or not. I don't know how to feel anymore...
