chapter 28

~2 days later~

~•Mia's pov•~
I wake up again. I'm still in this dirty basement. I lost all sense of time. There is no window, where I could see the sun or the moon. I have no idea how long I've been unconscious. All I know is that I'm very, very hungry and thirsty. I'm literally starving. Also I have the worst headache I've ever had. 

I'm sitting with the back to a wall, when I hear the the door unlock. I look up and look straight in the face of a man. I've never seen him before. He has very short hair and is about 22 years old. He's on the phone talking to someone.
"Yes, she's finally awake." He says in his phone.
"Okay. Fine. Bye." He hangs up and looks me over. I just stare back not daring to say anything. He looks dangerous and he's kind of scary.

Finally I manage to speak.
"Who are you? Why am I here? And why do you know me?" My voice is raspy and it hurts to speak.
He looks at me estimating if he should talk to me or not.
"I'm obviously not going to tell you who I am. And no I don't know you. I honestly have no idea why my boss didn't just kill you already." His voice is very deep and dangerous. He even sends out danger and pain.
"Who is your boss?" My voice a little bit more confident than before. I'm just going to call him Shorthair.
He laughes deep and full of hatred. 
"You are asking dangerous qustions you know, tiny girl. My boss will not like that. Keep that in mind. And don't try to flee from here or you'll regret it."
I'm really scared now, but I won't show it. I have to look confident and strong. That will maybe save me.

He throws a small piece of bread to me and I catch it.
"Here. Your meal." He gives me a dirty smile and then leaves. I'm alone again.

So now it's really going to start. The last two chapter were like fillers.
