chapter 33

~•Shawn's pov•~
Since the day Mia has been found, I'm sitting in the hospital. It's now 3 days ago and Mia hasn't woken up since then, because she hit her head many times very hard. That's why she's in a coma. The police found Camila and arrested her for good. I never want to see her again.

I'm sitting on a chair next to Mia's bed holding her hand, which I was constantly doing. Maybe she can feel it. I hope so.

I look at her. I don't know what they exactly have done to her, but I can see all the bruises and cuts all over her body and the scar on her cheek. She's also too skinny, which means she probably didn't get enough food.

It hurts so much to see her like this. To see her being hurt like this.

I'm walking through the corridor in the hospital to meet my family. They've come to visit.

My sister Aaliyah runs to me and hugs me tight.
"Hey Shawn everything will be fine."
I just nod.

Then I hug my mom and my dad. We sit in a room and drink coffee together, when a doctor comes by.
"Mr. Mendes? Ms. Clark just woke up from her coma."
My heart skips a beat. I look at my family and I rapidly get up and run to her room.

~•Mia's pov•~
White walls. No furniture besides a chair and the bed I'm lying in. Many monitors. Where the hell am I? Panik starts to rise inside of me. I see all these tubes going through my skin in my body and a thing which shows me my heart frequence. It's a hospital. I'm in a hospital. I slowly calm down again.

Slowly the memories come back. I remember being in the basement. Someone must have found me. I still have pain in my whole body.

Then the door opens and a doctor comes in. He asks me some things and explains me what happened. Then he leaves again and says he's going to check on me later.

Then the door gets pulled open again. I look at the door and see him. Shawn. He smiles at me and slowly comes over to me.
"Hey Hun." He says quitely. I notice he looks really tired.
Shawn sits in the chair next to my bed and takes my small hand in his large one.
"I'm so glad you are well up."
"I'm glad too."
"Listen. I'm so sorry that that happened to you. It's my fault. I should have noticed that Camila is a bad person and I should have protected you from her. I -" I interrupt him by laying a finger on his lips.
"Don't say that. It's by far not your fault. Never say that again. Okay?"
"Okay." He smiles.

I pat next to me to signalize Shawn to lay next to me, which he does immediately. He puts his arm carefully around me to avoid any pain.
"Hun, I love you so much I will never let you go. Never again." He stares deep into my eyes.
"I love you too, Shawn. I will never leave you. "
His head leans down and our lips meet again after so much time. It feels so good. Too good to be true, but it is true.

Finally I managed to write a new chapter! I'm not very proud of it but yeah here it is.
