"Where's the mundane?" Serena walked into the room to see Camille and Raphael talking to each other. "He got away." Camille was fuming. "And why is she here?" She gestured towards Serena, who sarcastically waved. "The Shadowhunters traded her for Simon. They gave her, then grabbed Simon." Camille sneered, then left. Serena sighed in relief, then looked at Raphael. "Why are you keeping me here?" Raphael turned his head. "It was either you go or the mundane goes, and I did not want the mundane here any longer. He gave me a headache." Serena smirked. "And here I thought vampires couldn't get headaches." Raphael frowned. "We don't. That's how annoying your friend is." Serena chuckled.

A knock was heard at the door of the Fontayne house. "Coming." Eathlyn opened the door expecting to find Serena, but instead found her two closest friends, Clary and Simon. "Hey guys. If you're looking for Serena, I cannot help you. I have no idea where she is." Clary and Simon looked at each other. "Actually, that's why we came here."

Serena sat against the wall. Three days ago, she was trying to hide her secret from everyone except her family. Now, her friends knew, and some random vampire knew. What is wrong with me? I can usually keep a secret. She buried her head in her arms. Meanwhile, Raphael watched her.

"Wait, what happened?" Clary sighed. "Simon was taken by vampires, and in order to get him back, we had to offer Serena." Eathlyn started breathing heavily. "My daughter, my only daughter, locked up with vampires." Simon looked at Clary. "We have been trying to figure out a way to get her back. And we came to ask for your help." Eathlyn looked at the two. "Oh I am going to help. We are going to get my daughter back."
