Serena was standing near Simon, Clary, and the Shadowhunters as they discussed going to the City of Bones. "I can do this." Clary sighed, and Simon looked at her. "Yeah, you can. You're Clary freakin' Fray. You can do anything." Clary took a deep breath, and started walking forward. Serena turned around, and started to walk to the van.

Once she got to the van, she rolled down the mirror, and looked at herself. She pulled her red hair into a low side ponytail. She pulled out some red lipstick from her purse, and smeared it on her lips. Soon, Simon and Isabelle approached the van. Serena closed the mirror, and looked at them. "Hey guys. What are you doing?" Simon sat down in the seat next to Serena, and grabbed his phone. "I'm showing Isabelle one of our new tracks." Serena nodded, and looked out the window.

"Um, uh, trying to pick the right clip." Suddenly, Serena heard rattling. Isabelle looked around. "I'll be right back. Whatever you do, do not leave the van. Serena, you too." She closed the door, and Simon locked it. Simon sighed, and put on his headphones. Serena looked over at Simon.

Suddenly, a pair of hands grabbed Simon. Serena reached over and grabbed the hands. The pair of hands belonged to a female. The female hissed at Serena, and Serena's eyes glowed blue. The female leaned back, and suddenly, a pair of male hands grabbed Serena.

Next thing she knew, Serena was on the top of a railing on the bridge. The female was holding Simon's feet, and Serena's hands were tied up. Clary looked around the van. Serena could hear their conversation. "Where's Simon?" Isabelle spoke, "I told him to stay in the van. I've searched everywhere." Then Clary. "He's gone?" Isabelle. "I can't find him." Again, Clary. "You were supposed to protect him!" Isabelle was now angry. "Serena was with him too." Clary ran to the van. "SIMON?! SIMON?!"

Then, the man standing next to Serena spoke up. "Is that the mundane's name? Or the girl's. I'm afraid Simon's coming with us. As well as the girl." Clary started panicking. "No! No, he's not a part of this." Serena rolled her eyes. "I'm here too, Clary." Jace stepped forward., ignoring Serena. "And it'll be my pleasure to kill you unless you return him." Alec cut him off. "Careful. We'd be violating the Accords." The man said even louder, "I'm afraid your sidekick's quite right. The Night Children have broken no laws. We're negotiating. The mundane, unharmed, in exchange for the Mortal Cup. And the clock is ticking. Tick-tock, people."

The female lifted Simon up, and suddenly, they were gone.
