The two girls walked out to where Clary was breaking down, and Jace was trying to comfort her. Raphael was standing on the side. "If Simon is buried and he doesn't emerge... he would be trapped under the earth... starving for eternity." That only hurt Clary more. "Oh my god." She started sobbing. Serena walked over to Raphael. "What happens if they stake him?" Raphael looked at her. "He'll die a human death. It's painless, as far as I know." Clary looked over Simon. "Simon, I'm so sorry."

Later, they were ready to bury Simon when Camille and her gang showed up. Serena stood up, and clenched her fists, ready to fight. "What do you want?" Camille chuckled. "I want my property back." Clary's jaw dropped. "Simon is not your property." Camille ignored Clary. "If you'll just hand him over, I'll be on my way." Serena tried to restrain herself, but her instincts overcame her. She shot water out of her hands at the ground. Camille chuckled. "Losing control, little Siren?"

"I'm restraining myself." Serena said through clenched teeth. Raphael walked towards Camille, and the vampires behind her.. "Camille killed this mundane. Now, I have all the proof. She's been breaking the Accords for too long now. He's the evidence we need to show the Clave what Camille has been doing." Camille chuckled. "Are you trying to overthrow me?" Raphael shook his head. "No. I already have." Serena's eyes widened. "Wow." She mouthed.

Camille was frantic. "Don't listen to him. Raphael doesn't know the first thing about leading. You need me. I've given you everything you could want. All the riches. All the pleasures you could desire." Serena spoke up. "By breaking the law." Raphael smiled, and turned back to Camille. "Which will only destroy us. We can fix this. If we just get rid of the body, this mundane means nothing. "Means nothing"? Over my dead body." Clary walked towards Camille and slapped her across the face. She walked away smirking, and Serena chuckled.
