After they were done fighting, and Serena had to go back to the Institute, they stood at the door. "I have to go, I hope to see you soon." She then stood on her toes and pressed her lips to his. The kiss was short and sweet, and afterwards she walked away, smiling.
At the Institute, Serena walked in to find a man was with Jace, and Alec and Izzy were nowhere to be found. She walked over to Clary. "What's going on?" Clary sighed. "Jace's father is here." Serena looked from Jace to his father, and a chill went down her spine. "I don't know about this." She muttered to herself.
The man looked at Serena. "And who is this?" Jace and Clary looked at each other, nervously. "I'm Serena. Who are you?" The man sighed. "Michael Wayland." Jace then collapsed.
Next thing she knew, Clary and Michael were holding up Jace walking him to a portal. "I'll catch up with you guys." She then stood over a water drain, and felt herself turn to water before slipping through.
Serena found herself back in the Institute. She walked around only to get a phone call from Clary. "Serena, we need you. Meet us at the Hotel DuMort." Serena sighed. "Again?" She then walked out.
At the Hotel DuMort, Serena stood outside waiting for Clary to arrive. Eventually, She and SImon pulled up. "Okay, let's get in there, get what we need, and get out." Serena sighed. "And why do you need me?" Simon chuckled. "Raphael has a soft spot for you." Clary scoffed. "Understatement of the year." Serena smiled, and they walked in.
"Why can't we just take what we need and leave?" Serena rolled her eyes and stood by the door, keeping an eye out for any vampires barging in.
All of a sudden, she saw Raphael rush in. "Why do you keep doing that to me?" Simon yelled, startled. Raphael sighed. "If you worked on controlling your enhanced senses, as you should, you wouldn't be surprised." He looked at Clary. "Clary... you really have to stop barging in here." His eyes turned to Serena. "Serena, weren't you just here." Serena shrugged. "Maybe I was... maybe I wasn't." Clary spoke up. "We need blood." Raphael turned his gaze. "So I've heard."
A little while later, Raphael handed the bag to Clary. "Simon, Serena, let's go." Raphael chuckled. "My new advisor and the siren need to stay here." Serena looked at him, an eyebrow raised. "The siren? Really?" She said with a mock angry tone. Clary left, leaving Serena, Simon, and Raphael alone in the Hotel DuMort.
