"I'm so excited!" Connor exclaimed as he lead his dad to the beach. Troye invited him to a family barbecue. They thought it was the perfect time to explore the beach without their parents telling them some excuse about how late it was.
"You sure are gonna fight off the sea monsters with this." Connor's dad said, pulling out a toy sword. He ruffled his sons hair as they approached the beach.
Troye had been playing with his new sword with his dad when they arrived. There were a lot more people in Troye's part of the family than Connor's. He only brought his dad.
'I won't drink." Connor's dad thought. "Today's about Connor. I won't drink."
Connor's dad went around, introducing himself. "Hi. I'm Peter."
After the introductions, Troye and Connor immediately ran off.
"Those boys." Troye's Dad laughed. Everyone else joined in and they sat down and attempted to get to know Peter.
The two boys were having the time of their lives. They've never been to that part of the beach. They even found a squid on their exploration.
Meanwhile, Peter was bored.
"One sip won't hurt. Plus, everyone else
is doing it." he assured himself. With a bit of hesitation, he took a swing of beer.
