Tyrion

They were quite the traveling party. He was once again, reunited with his wife, Lady Sansa. Oberyn and Ellaria, as well as a freak lavender sorceress, in a flying mechanical dragon.

Both he and Oberyn had flown the mechanical dragon, to the Erie, and that had been quite an adventure, in and of itslef, manevering the machine in the most extraordinary ways...and then, landing it- which had been a bit tricky, so the lady had overseen that task.

As it turned out, though, piloting the machine was incidental. That was the word for it piloting...she had told them, that they were excellent pilots the both of them - but for the next stop, she had explained, she wished for the machine to fly itself, while they all discussed things - their plans. Their next steps actually, which involved the Lannisters. Tyrion was to go back to Tywin, Cersei and ask that all be forgiven, and that they all start anew, as allies.

They would deceive the Lannisters, however, as they would not know of the groups plans to travel East. Tyrion was simply to convince his father that he and Sansa would return to Winterfell, and restore it, as well as order in the North. Tyrion would take over as Warden in the North, with help from Tywin. He would have, both Stannis and the Boltons to contend with - and according to Lady Steffana, this would be no easy task. In all of this, she had also asked for Oberyn's assistance, but it wasn't forthcoming. Both Oberyn and Ellaria balked at any additional encounters with the Lannisters, and incidentally, they also despised the Tyrells, who were now the Lannisters closest allies.

She had flown back to the Kingswood, because this was where she wanted to hide her mechanical dragon. So they were right back where they had started. None of them were pleased. As the machine landed itself, quite miraculously, in a barren patch of land in the Kingswood,  Oberyn gestured angrily,

"Lady Steffana, you promised  me adventures...trips to your future world. But...that was all deception! And now you are insisting that I break bread with my most despised enemies. I am deeply insulted. You know that I despise the Lannisters...and you know why. How can you even suggest such a thing?"

"Because...I know the future. I know what is coming to the realm...none of us is safe. The Lannisters have an army and  we will need it,  to stand against what's coming."

Sansa, who had been quiet throughout the entire discussion, surprised them all, by asking,

"What is coming?"

Steffana replied,

"Extraordinary devastation...unless we act quickly. The realm  is not stable. We've been over this. The Lannister army...well...it could... we could definitely use it, if we could get it. I need for Tyrion to try."

Tyrion  was quietly outraged. This was the first he had heard of any of it. Extraordinary devastation...he wanted to believe that she was wrong! The worst of it was over. Th War of Five Kings was nearly over, Renley was dead, Robb Stark was dead, and now...even Joffrey. Balon Greyjoy was no threat and Stannis, had been defeated...and could be defeated again. But even if Stannis won, and Tywin was defeated, order would be restored to the seven Kingdoms. Extraordinary devastation, sounded like an exaggeration. However, Lady Steffana, being from the future, had already proven that she knew things, things that they could not possibly know. So Tyrion replied,

"I...will do my best, My Lady."

"Thank you Tyrion. I know that this is not an ideal situation, for any of you, but as a wise man once said-"

And with that, she looked over at Tyrion,

"We only make peace with our enemies...that's why it's called making peace. If we are to survive and defeat what's coming, we need to try to cultivate as many powerful  alliances as we can."
