Chapter 2 - Faster Than The Wind

Good morning! I slowly opened my eyes and I smiled so wide sa nakita ko. Golden sunshine flooded my bedroom. Ang sarap ng gising ko! I think magiging masaya ang aking, probably, last summer here at States, last week of August pa naman ako pupunta ng PH sabi ni Dad. I walked out of my room without the need to worry and then started planning what will be my last summer with my friends! Siguro as usual, puro clubbing and attending parties of different people. Kahit ganito, hindi kami nagsasawa, 'cause we're having so much fun now and no one can st--

"Packed already?" Mom said while on the living room fixing her things on her bag as I stepped on the floor at the foot of the stairs. I just didn't get it. Bakit ako mag-iimpake kaagad?

"Huh?" My reply as I went towards the dining table to start my day.

"I said, did you packed your things already?!" Her blood pressure has surely leveled up.

"Not yet. Bakit po?" sagot ko. Bakit nga ba she's asking me?

"So hihintayin mo pang I'm the one who will pack your things, then?!" Sh*t. She's angry now. My parents are very strict to me, unlike on my little sister Camille. Aarrgghh

"No. I didn't pack because Dad said I'll be off to the Philippines in the end of summer." Pa-kalma ko pang sagot, baka lalo pang magalit.

"Well, we just changed our minds. May bagyong tumama doon at naapektuhan ang ating mansion."

"Then?"

"THEN?! Para tumino ka, you will be the one who will clean and fix our house there NOW!"

"No way!" Super unforgiveable na ba yung mga pranks, kalokohan, troubles at mga problemang I gave them for my whole life at pag-aayusin ako ng mansiong affected by a storm? What the f***! Wait, the guards, maids, of course they'll help me!

"Yes!" pumasok si Dad and he's the one who shouted to me now, "and to ensure you will learn all lessons that you didn't learn in your whole life, I paid and ordered our employees there to have a vacation until you clean all of the mess!"

"What a stupid life!" I complained as I kicked the sofa and messed up my hair.

"No, it's yourself who is stupid, Stephen! Your dad and I are only doing this so you can have a better life, not those party all-day-all-night lifestyle your friends got!"

"But I'm not a child anymore!"

"Of course you're not, you prat. But still, you're our son and you will obey us until you finished college. Come on, honey, let's get to work before you're the one who will pack his stupid things up." my Dad said after Mom tied his necktie and then they walk to the front door when Mom said,

"Pack your things up after you finished breakfast, or we might force you to go sit on the plane. You will leave after our work tonight, so you can go have fun with your stupid friends for the very last time."

I nodded as they walk out the house and drive to their business thing. Then I ate my breakfast with a pout and curled eyebrows.

------

I don't know what to feel. I'm furious because I'll be cleaning all of those sh*t, but I'm alright because I have a friend out there. It's just so confusing! After eating, nagsimula na akong mag-impake. Grabe naman kasi, I'll be leaving tonight already! It's so many damn fast events.

I called my friend Charles to give the latest news -_-

"WHAT THE F***?!?!"

"Yes, it is!"

"I thought before September?"

"Yes, I thought that too, but they changed it. So hurry up, you stupid prat, and call the three and let's meet later. Bye"

"But where?"

"You decide. Just text me."

"I do--" I ended the call.

-------

So after hours of having fun, I'm in the plane now and flying to, what they called to it, the Pearl of the Orient. There's even a girl here who are trying to get on my pants, but I'm so moody right now to enjoy some heat.
