"So... thank you for changing your mind, (Y/N)," Dark said quietly, looking uncomfortable as he fidgeted in his chair, his hands pulling at the collar of his suit like it was hot in the room, even though it was a comfortable temperature. You smiled uncertainly, wondering exactly what he was up to. As far as you knew, demons never invited people for dinner... then again you didn't know what demons coming from the internet did. That wasn't weird, right?

"Well, I am a bit hungry," you replied, and looked down at the small meal he had prepared for the two of you. It was your favourite food (whatever that might be, you can choose). You suddenly heard a quiet growl, and realized it came from your stomach. You grabbed a fork, and immediately dug in. It was actually really good, and you enjoyed it a lot.

"You know how to cook?" you asked him after a while.

"A... bit, I guess," he answered with a shrug. You nodded and giggled. "What is it?" he questioned confusedly.

"It's just... I guess I never expected you to be like this," you replied. "So nice to me."

"I can be nice," he scoffed, then looked uncertain. "I think."

"Have you ever been nice before?" you inquired, putting down your fork. He chuckled slowly and replied with a simple,

"No."

"What?!" you laughed, covering your mouth. "Seriously?"

"You don't understand, there weren't many people in my life I needed to be nice to," he pouted, crossing his arms. "It was only my two brothers."

"Who?" you giggled, already knowing who one of them was.

"Glitchiplier, and... well, he's the only one who matters to me," he growled, looking away as his expression darkened and saddened, all at once. You instantly become calmer as you tried to ask,

"What happ-"

"I said he's the only one!" Dark snarled, immediately looking angry as his voice deepened. You shut your mouth quickly as your hand unconsciously shot to your neck. He noticed, and his expression softened. "I-it's not important, I shouldn't have brought it up. Sorry. I... the point is I never really had anyone to care about, so I don't really know how to... well, care for someone," he sighed, rubbing the back of his neck as a hint of pink coloured his pale cheeks. Was he blushing?

"Well, I'd be happy to teach you, I guess," you offered. "Was that why you kidnapped me? So I could help you learn a little bit of humanity?"

"Ha ha," he laughed humourlessly, then shook his head. "I took you for another reason, but I think you should get comfortable here first, then I can explain everything to you," he told me.

"Fair enough. I wouldn't want to be forced to understand everything on my first day of being kidnapped," you joked. He gave a nervous laugh, and you resumed eating, the tension slightly lifted.

He finished before you, and as you ate, you felt eyes on you. You nervously looked up and saw him staring at you with an interested expression.

"Can I help you?" you asked nervously. He looked away quickly.

"Erm, sorry. I dazed off for a bit there." He cleared his throat awkwardly, and, after forcing his tie, he stood up. "Are you done?" he asked, looking down at your empty plate. You nodded awkwardly, so he took the plate and walked into another room, what you assumed to be the kitchen. He came back a second later, standing in front of you nervously. He stared into your eyes for a bit, and you felt slightly uncomfortable.

"Uh... hi," you said, unable to stand the tension anymore.

"Just thinking of a good way to say this," he sighed. "I've... decided to let you go."

"Really?" you gasped, eyes widening. He nodded, and helped you up.

"In the morning, though. I... don't want us to keep fighting, not when I need your cooperation with what we're about to do. It's true, I do need practice in caring for someone... and I guess you're my test subject." You giggled a bit when he said that. "So get some rest, and I'll drop you back off tomorrow, first thing in the morning." He suddenly smirked. "I've... convinced... your teachers and friends you were there the whole day yesterday."

You giggled, and commented, "Well, thank you." Then you wrapped your arms around him, squeezing him in a hug. You heard a small gasp from him, but he hugged back meekly.

I thought you said Dark and Anti were demons, you thought to yourself smugly. They're pretty nice for demons, Wilford. Are you sure we're thinking of the same people?

Little did you know, a certain Warfstache was listening to your conversation, in the corner of the room, away from both your sights, and he was wondering what to do with someone like you...

half-breed.

==========

So, Dark's not so bad, huh? I know, this story is all over the place. My life is a strange amalgamation of rushed and random things, so this story fits me pretty well. -_-

How exactly are you a half-breed? Well, it's a secret. So much so that I don't even know. I just wanted to do this idea for a while, and I'll make it work. Again, amalgamation of randomness. If you have any guesses about what's going to happen (a.k.a ideas for me), write 'em in the comments! I'd love to hear them! Thanks!
