Heading down the road, you remembered that Anti just lived only a couple blocks down. Which way was it again? Taking a random turn to the right, you walked silently down the quiet, empty street, full of empty, decrepit houses. You needed to get to Anti quickly, before Dark was done with... whatever he was doing. Quickening your pace, you looked left and right, trying to visualize Anti's house in your mind. Seeing nothing on this street, you went to the next one, then the next one, then the next one. Finally, you saw a house that you remembered. Walking up to the front door, you brought your fist to it multiple times, hearing a loud thumping noise echoing inside the house.

"Who is it?!" Anti opened the door suddenly, looking like he was ready to kill. He noticed you, and changed his posture from "pissed off" to "slightly irritated". "Oh... hey, mutt."

"Erm... mutt?" you repeated, slightly offended. He shook his head quickly.

"Nothing, I was thinking about something else. What do you want?" he questioned, placing his hands on his hips. You took a deep breath, readying yourself for the arguing that you knew was about to occur.

"I want you to make up with Darkiplier." His eyes widened, but then he closed them, looking down. He sighed, and looked back up.

"Um... look, I need to tell you something," he sighed, motioning for you to lean in closer. You obeyed, moving your ear so he would whisper whatever he wanted. "Dark... well... he can go SCREW HIMSELF!" he screamed, making you stumble back, holding your ear, which was ringing.

"Ow!" you complained, glaring angrily at him. "What was that for?"

"You think I want to make up with that murderer?" he snarled, storming up to you and grabbing your shirt. "You think I want to see his face again? You think I want-" He stopped suddenly, dropping you and falling back, shaking. You looked at him, and he was breathing heavily, chest rising and falling as tears fell from his eyes. You stood up, walking slowly to him, but his eyes glimmered, and then they became his demon eyes. He shot up from the ground, green mist seeping from his palms. His feet rose a few inches from the ground, and you backed up as he rose higher.

Anti held out his hand as green mist flew to you, and you stepped out of the way as they formed into a gas cloud.

"WatCh oUt LasSie, thAt'S gONNa StiNg yOur LuNGs iF yOu brEAthe ThaT iN," he cackled, voice crackling like Glitch's, but with malice cutting through it. Then he faced both palms at you, and green goo shot from it. You jumped out of the way, scraping your palms on the sidewalk when you fell. The goo hit some of your shoe, and it made a hissing noise as it burned through the material. You took it off quickly, afraid that it was going to burn through your flesh. "ANd thAt's mY SePtic gOO! AlSo knOwn As PUre aCId!" he screamed, shooting more at you. You rolled out of the way, running away as fast as possible. Okay, Anti's lost it. This was a bit worse than you anticipated.

"Anti, please!" you cried as he shot more mist at you. He lowered himself, and his feet touched the ground once more.

"YoU dON't gEt to bEG tO Me! Not WhEn you EXpecT Me tO gO bACk to hiM!" he snarled, picking you up by the arm and staring into your eyes.

"I just want you to talk to Dark! He didn't mean it!" you shouted. He growled, and a knife appeared in his hand.

Dark, help! you screamed in your mind. Then everything seemed to go into slow motion.

The knife plunged towards your abdomen.

A pale hand grabbed Anti's.

Anti was pushed off of you.

Dark had pure fire in his eyes as he punched him.

Time went back to normal.

"You don't get to hurt her!" Dark screamed, two knives appearing, one in each hand.

"NoW yOU kNOw hOW I fEel!" he replied angrily.

"I didn't kill your stupid eye!" He lunged at Anti, and they started swinging their knives. Dark, slicing a deep gash in Anti's chest. Anti, stabbing into Dark's leg. Dark just missed Anti's cheek by a millimeter. You couldn't stand it.

It hurt even more when they started using their powers.

Anti rose into the air, green mist coming from his palms, black shadows from Dark's fingertips as he stood defiantly on the concrete. Septic goo was thrown at Dark, but he reflected it with shadows seeping up from the ground. Dark retaliated by pointing at Anti, and the darkness from the shadows around the area charged at him, hardening into spikes. He flew up, but one nicked him in the arm, making him grunt in pain.

"No, stop!" you shrieked. Immediately, they paused their war, staring at you. "Please. Don't fight."

"...Why?" Dark asked.

"Because I don't want you two hurting yourselves," you answered.

"That's a stupid reason. We're demons, all we do is hurt other people," Anti scoffed, gripping the knife hilt tighter. Still, they looked unsure, which was a start for you.

"Can't we just talk about this? Like civilized people?" you tried.

"We don't talk about it, we fight. We're demo-" Dark started.

"You're demons, I get it! Sure, you're not supposed to have feelings, or emotions, or whatever, but both of you know that you aren't! You both cry, you both get happy! You... you care! I don't know whether it's because you've spent too long on Earth or something stupid like that, but you two have emotions!" You started to cry. "Dark doesn't know whether he killed Sam or not, Anti, but he feels guilty about it. I don't care if you don't think you should be friends, I'm making you." Dark and Anti looked really uncomfortable right now. Dark walked over, knives disappearing from him, and he wrapped his arms around you as you buried your head in your hands and sobbed.

"Shh, shh, don't cry. We won't fight anymore," he whispered.

"P-promise?" you asked. You heard Anti mutter something quietly, a thump as Dark punched him, a grunt, then,

"Fine."

"Okay," you sniffled, looking at them. Dark looked relieved, not used to comforting crying people, and Anti looked cranky, rubbing his forearm sorely. "Now talk." Dark sighed and turned to Anti, who spun around and walked inside his house, leaving the door open.

"I guess we're supposed to go in," Dark told you in a quiet voice.

"Wait," you ordered, and Dark looked at you. "How did you hear me when I called you earlier?"

"I just did. I can do that," he smiled softly, unsure of what you meant.

"But Anti didn't hear me. Only you and Wilford can. Why?"

"Oh... ugh... w-well, you... I-I...." he stammered, trying to think of some excuse, his black eyes flashing with determination and slight anger. Then he hung his head and sighed, seemingly giving in on something he was fighting against. "I guess I'll tell you inside... I should have done this ever since the party. I think... yeah. I think it's time to break a promise," he admitted, and pulled you inside Anti's house.
