You have complicated minds, readers. You choose Antisepticeye over Darkiplier, then Darkiplier over Wilford Warfstache. Why is that? Is Wilford evil in your eyes? Are you hesitant to trust him? Do you trust Darkiplier more than a schemer? Maybe because you pity the others' stories, and thought that Wilford was the bad guy in this.
Or did you simply choose Darkiplier because you believed that he was the right answer? Oh, reader, how I pity you if that was your answer.
In my world, there are no right answers.
========================
"Wilford...." you started hesitantly, wondering how to put this. "I have to go with Dark. I'm sorry." Wilford's face clouded over with rage, and his eyes flashed crimson as his mouth turned up in a snarl.
"If you trust a demon more than me, you're highly mistaken," he spat, letting your shirt go and pushing you back. You hit the wall, staring at him in increasing fear. This wasn't the Wilford that you knew. This one was cold and unforgiving. "Go to him, then. See how much trouble he gives you. And when you come crawling back to me, I won't give a damn." He stormed away, slamming the door to his room. Staring at the door for a bit, you wondered what just happened. Then you shook your head with confusion and walked back to your room, where Dark was still sleeping soundly on the bed. He was snoring slightly, and he fidgeted. You felt uncomfortable, watching a demon rest, and guilty for being there when he was vulnerable.
"I heard the ruckus outside, kid," Glitch chuckled as he entered the room. "Wilford's talking to himself in his room."
"So you know I'm leaving." It wasn't a question, really; more like a statement. He nodded, his face turning serious. "You can come with us. I know how much you hate him," you offered. He hesitated, but shook his head.
"I'm on your side, (Y/N)," he sighed, "but I can't leave. No matter how much he's a jerk, this house is my home. So... I wish you the best of luck." He raised his arms in what looked like an invitation to hug, and you took it. His arms wrapped around you, and you heard his heartbeat, the music blasting from the headphones hanging around his neck, and found that the beat was in sync.
"Alright. Don't let him push you around too much, huh?" you whispered.
"I can take care of myself, kid," he laughed. "Don't worry about good ol' me." You let go, and sat on the bed. Glitch's gaze turned towards the demon on the bed, and his face turned sad. "Take care of him, kid." And with a grim nod, he left, and, two doors down, you heard the music blast once more. You lay down beside Dark, watching his chest move up and down with each breath.
"You'd better be worth this trouble, Darkiplier," you breathed, and closed your eyes.
* In the Morning *
"(Y/N)!" woke you up. You opened your eyes, and saw Dark above you, staring at you. You yelped quietly, sitting up. "You're staying with me, then?" he asked quietly. You nodded, getting up and going to the washroom to brush your teeth.
After you had done that, you walked out and saw Dark sitting on the bed, staring at the wall.
"Ready to go?" you checked. He turned around and nodded. You heard Wilford in his room, snoring loudly, signalling that he was still asleep. The two of you silently walked downstairs and opened the door.
"Dark, wait," you heard. He turned around, and sighed. Glitch and Dark stared into each others' eyes, silent, for what seemed like an eternity. Now, finally, you could see the similarities between the two.
Their eyes were stormy and detached, comfortable with hiding emotion. The only difference between the two was that Glitch had a pleading look in his eyes, one that you knew he hid from Wilford.
