Chapter 22
Liam and I are seated on the living room couch in our pajamas. We've just woken up and Liam has been urging me to open up my gifts from last night. He just wants to know if there's something in one of these bags that he could use for himself. I know Liam.
"How does it feel to be seventeen?" Liam asks as he wiggles his eyebrows.
"It feels the exact same as when I turned sixteen and fifteen and shall I continue" I respond
"No, you may not" Liam chuckles. He grabs the biggest present out of the pile and sets it between the two of us. "May I?" He asks as he points to the large bow wrapped around the box.
"You may" I answer. He smiles and rips off the bow of the box. I then open the box, a red floral garment lies in the box. Liam and I exchange a look as we have no clue what it is.
Just then mom walks into the kitchen for coffee "Mom, what is this?" I ask her I pick up the clothing from the box.
"It's a Japanese Kimono." She answers. Liam and I look at each other "Oh" We say in unison. Mom rolls her eyes as she chuckles at us. She walks back to her room as Liam and I continue to open gifts.
Liam helps me open the gifts, I asked for his help because there were so many gifts. Liam pulls out tissue from one gift as I open another box. I pull out a very revealing v-neck sleeveless mini dress.
"Whoa" Liam marveled as he grins. "Who's that from?" He asks with curiosity as he nudges my rib.
"I don't know." I answer as I set down the dress. I look in the box and see a card," Wait, there's a card. Good thing because I need to send this back". There's no way I'm keeping this piece of sultry.
I pick up the card and open it ' Maybe you can wear this at my next party.' Signed Chuck Bass.
I crumble up the card, I throw it towards the trash can and growl loudly. I can't believe he's still inconsiderate and cocky. He makes me want to pull out my hair.
"Okay, then. Next gift" Liam says as he grabs a small wrapped up box and hands it to me.
"I can't believe... ugh!" I expressed as I quickly tear off the wrapping paper from the box. "He's soo.." I began but stopped as I opened the box and see a beautiful necklace with the initial L, it's in an elegant cursive font and has small floral pieces embedded on the letter along with small diamonds.
I gently take out the necklace and admire its beauty. "Someone put a lot of thought into that." Liam comments. He studies it as he rests his chin on my shoulder. "Are those real diamonds?"
"Yes, Liam. They're real" I answer. Liam gently takes the necklace from my fingers and clips it around my neck. "Perfecto"
I give him a small smile then look at the necklace around my neck. "Who's this from anyway?" He asks as he grabs the box.
