9months later

"Does the boy know the child is his?!" the doctor's asked in hush parents to the parents of the boy who was seated in the seat next to them.

"No, but we have a lot of reason to suspect that it is. what of the mother?" the parents of the boy asked.

he looked up to them through tears in his eyes. it wasn't his fault his brother's girlfriend had been beautiful in so many ways but Evil in the same ways. he looked to his hands in discomfort and guilt, she had forced himself on him. his parents had come from Mexico seeking a better life to only be stuck with a shamed son. he looked up and his parents cast him soft, sad smiles and glances. he felt the guilt rise up him again and he looked away.

"The mother, she ah, does not want the child. she has asked for the DNA test, you're youngest son is the father." the doctor answered.

"But we cannot be certain, the child cannot come with us!" his father exclaimed.

"the tests do not lie, i can do nothing of the child" the doctor said.

"Don't worry, i have a friend who has always wanted a child, may we see the child?" his mother asked gently.

the doctor nodded and let his parents into the room. the boy sat up, slight curiosity of the life he help create. the door shut him out, he jumped from his seat and ran to the door, opening slightly. his mother caught onto it and nodded for him to enter. he did and she showed him the child, the girl was gone, moved to another room. his mother handed the child to him, he smiled soflty seeing the resemblance between him and the new baby boy.

"What's his name?" he asked.

"you get the honor of naming it, the mother called it some pretty nasty words." the doctor said with a laugh.

"Charles Anthony Garcia." he stated with a small smile, as he cradled the baby closer to him.

a few nurses took the child away and his parents led the boy out of the room. a few minutes later his parents disappeared and when they came back they told him that the baby had died.
the boy didn't know that his parents had lied and had given the child to a shadowhunter, an enemy of the mother who could not have a child. and the boy would never know that his child would grow up in the city where he worked.
