17 years later
the boy who was no longer a boy walked down the halls of his company. it was a very well known company that helped smaller companies grow. he smiled and waved to Janice the kind secretary from Texas.
"Good morning Mr. Garcia can i get you anything?" she asked poitley.
"No, thank you Janice." he answered walking to his office.
she nodded and went back to typing away. he sat down in his leather spinning chair and turned on his computer. a few buisness papers were up and he was ready to start the day. he was pretty young to be one of the head of the company at only 31. he stopped realizing that today the child that had been born 16 years ago would have been turning 17.

the Atlanta Institute
Charlie blocked the seraph blade, his parabatai;Cole, was trying to whack him with. it was just training after all but they often tried their hardest at taking the other out. Charlie felt the sweat running down his face as he pushed black the blade. Cole didn't look much better, desperatly trying to brush away his blonde hair from his eyes while pushing down onto Charlie. he let out a cry and pushed Cole off him and collapsed to the ground, breathing heavily.
"Good- Good job!" Cole said, holding his side and breathing deeply.
Charlie couldn't bring himself to say anything but nod and do a short wave.
"you both are pathetic." a humored voice said from the door.
Charlie looked up and grinned seeing Jenna standing at the entry way; her arms folded and a mischievous smile playing at her lips. her long blonde hair was pulled back into a high ponytail yet the ends still reached the top of her black belt. she was in her usual attire, black stretchable leggings, high laced up boots and a tight short sleeved shirt that showed off her toned and runed arms. her belt shone with her hand axes on her sides.
"I thought you would have been doing you're nails or something." Charlie teased.
"Only you, now, what do you want to do for you're birthday?!" she replied, rolling her eyes.
"I thought we'd go demon hunting." he replied.
"We do that already! don't you want to go and see the city with out killing anything?!" she exclaimed.
"I do see the city, while i am killing demons. look i really don't know why we have to do anything different. i like our job." he answered.
"Jen's right you know." Cole added.
"Siding with you're sister and betraying your parabatai, i feel betrayed!" he teased.
"Come on Charlie, just this once!" Jenna begged.
"fine, i guess we can go see the city. i don't know what you'll find in it though." he stood up and sheathed his blade.
Jenna smiled and clapped a little, spinning on her heel and running out of the room to change into more suitable clothing. he helped Cole up and they walked to their rooms to change. Charlie quickly changed into black jeans, black boots, and a black t-shirt. he packed a secret seraph knife and walked out, to be met by Cole already waiting for him. Cole was in black too and zipped up his hoodie and nodded for him to follow.
"What do you think Jenna has in mind?" he asked.
"I have no idea, but you're the president man, you can veto." Cole added.
"I guess you are right."
they walked into the main room and Mrs. Ravenwell walked up to them. she looked a lot like her daughter, both gold blonde hair, tall and fair skinned with his cheek bones and a determined smile. she stopped in front of them and grinned.
"What are you three planning for today?" she asked excitedly.
"Jenny wants to go out to the city so i guess we're doing that." Charlie added with a smile.
Mrs. Ravenwell smiled and nodded.
"I hope you three are safe, and have a fun time. i made Harry buy some chocolate ice cream, and cake mix. you three can make it when you get back." Mrs. Ravenwell said before walking to her office.
he nodded and smiled.
"Jen sure take's for ever getting ready." Cole murmured.
"you just realized that now?!"
"gosh guys, i am right here! let's go, man you look just the same. let's go." Jenna stated walking down the stairs and walking to them.
she looked just the same only she was wearing a black crop top, with long sleeves and her boots had changed to heels. she had more make up which made her icy blue eyes stick out. she rolled her eyes as she passed, flipping her hair in their face and walking out.
"Bye mom, we'll be back later!" Jenna called leading them out.
they walked down the crowded streets to the main center area where all the big businesses were. the hot georgian sun and Summer baking them, making Charlie wish he wasn't wearing black. Jenna walked in confidence, making any guy she pass look at her and some even whistled. she rewarded those men with a smile, her brother often rolled his eyes and Charlie kept close to them.
"So i was thinking we could go first to one of those Mundane cafes and then take the train around downtown, Old Roswell or Old Norcross would be a cute town to visit!" Jenna stated leading them down the streets.
"How about no." Cole stated.
"Cole, you aren't the birthday boy, Charlie is." she answered annoyed.
"Let's just go to Old Roswell, i like it there better. it has the river, i like rivers." he stated with a smile.
Cole glared at him. Charlie smiled and kept up, after Jenna who grinned and led them to the bus waiting area.
