Charlie sat next to Jenna and Cole on the side of the street. more shadowhunters had come and were scouting the area for any traces of demon blood or downworlders. Jenna's head was low and she leaned against her brother for more support.
most of the shadowhunters were coming up with excuses of other creatures, none their own blood. it was as if they were too proud to say that one of their prized Shadowhunters had gone rogue."My father invited me to go with him to the History museum." Charlie whispered.
"He isn't you're father! you're dad was our dad, you were his son and now he's dead!" Jenna snapped.
"Listen to me alright?! Mr. Garcia invited me to the museum, i could talk to him and we could stay with him. i don't plan on leaving until i know who did this to my family." charlie replied.
Jenna searched his eyes trying to find comfort and she found it in revenge. she nodded and looked up to Cole, he nodded as well. there was a thud and the sound of wheels. Charlie looked up and watched as two portable beds rolled out, carrying Mr. and Mrs. Ravenwell. up close he could see that all their runes had large white circles around them. they were soon rolled into a van and the doors closed. the van started up and started to drive off to the entrance of the silent city.
"Children, we have a place for you all to sleep at, follow me." a tall shadowhunter said.
Charlie got up and hauled Jenna and Cole to their feet before following after him. the man led them down the street to a black car where they got in. the man drove them to the edge of the city and dropped them off in a giant house in a closed of neighborhood. the man nodded for them to get out and marched up to the door banging on the door hard.
"Open up Nikos!" the shadowhunter yelled.
there was a grumble and mumbled on the other side before a man opened the door. he had tan skin and almond eyes serpent green cat eyes. he looked like an Asian with a beach tan and a disco ball mated and had him. a grey wolf appeared moments later and growled at them. the man shushed him, a playful smile of curiosity playing on his lips. Charlie looked the warlock up and down, confused at why they were there.
"You owe service to the Clave for your actions, you're debt will be settled if you give these young shadowhunters a place to stay for the night." the shadowhunter in front of them barked,.
"But of course, i do owe my entire life to the Clave even though it wasn't even my fault." the man replied sarcastically.
the shadowhunter rolled his eyes and pushed the three of them into the room. the warlock said an annoyed goodbye and closed the door. the grey wolf sniffed at them, growling a little before stopping at Jenna and wagging his tail.
"He likes you." the warlock stated.
"What's his name?" she asked with a smile, petting the wolf's head.
"His majesty King Rex, his sister is around here somewhere with the name of Queen Regina. but they answer to Rex and Regina. and what is you're names?" the warlock asked.
"Jenna, Jenna Ravenwell and my brothers Cole and Charlie." Jenna replied, smiling at the wolf.
"ah, Ravenwell, i used to be good friends with you're parents. i am sorry they died they were a few Shadowhunters that i actually admired. the Clave has put you three under my protection, and because of that you have to go everywhere with me." the warlock stated.
"We can take care of ourselves." Cole snapped.
"I am very sure you can, but because of the recent events you can't leave my sight. now we have a party to get to." the warlock replied, looking at their clothes in distaste.
