Charlie quickly caught up to Jenna and Cole who waited on the roof of the small shop they had first launched themselves from. Jenna summoned her rope and it came to her smoothly, as if it had never been tied.

"so? What happened?" she asked.

"I got us a place for now" Charlie answered pulling out the paper.

"How far away is it?"

"Not sure, only that it's here in Alpharetta if we can find an uber or lyft or bus it could probably take us to it." Charlie offered.

"Bus, it's a lot safer and cheaper," Jenna said leading them off the roof.

they followed her onto a local bus and rode most of the way toward the address on the paper. ignoring the wrong turns and bus changes they made it to the Alpharetta library around the peaks of the afternoon.

"Well we are close, the library can give us access to google maps." Cole offered.

they walked in and quietly wandered to the back where the TEEN section was, thankfully no one was there and Jenna hopped on to a chair and began to hack into the system.

"Thank you programming class." she laughed to herself.

Charlie rolled his eyes and looked up to see Cole already leafing through a book. they hadn't been there less than five minutes and already his friend was more interested in the words printed on paper than their actual mission. well, that might have been exaggerating it a bit but Charlie rolled his eyes none the less.

"Can I see the address?" Jenna asked.

Charlie handed her the paper that he'd practically memorized as she began to pull up google maps.

"We are actually a lot closer than we thought we were, it would take us about an hour, at least i think if we were to walk there from here," Jenna said studying the map.

"Mom and Dad used to read us this book," Cole said sadly closing it and putting it back on the shelf.

"Which one?" Jenna asked with a small laugh, remembering back to the days where it had been a task to get them all into their beds.

"do you remember  Keturah And Lord Death?" he asked.

"Honestly I don't remember half the books they read to us, I was to focus on making sure that Charlie didn't steal my favorite stuffed animal," she answered with a smirk.

Charlie smiled back, remembering back to when they were kids.

"well, should we leave?" Cole asked.

"You could just take the book," Jenna said logging out.

"No, I wouldn't want to steal the magic that it brings," he said with a shrug.

Charlie led them out and following Jenna's instructions they began to walk down from the library and into wooded areas.

there weren't any sidewalks so they stuck to the side of the road as best as they could, few cars drove past them all heading in it felt like the same direction but soon after the street went silent. the sound of rushing water became clearer the further they followed the road and for moments one could look past the trees and grasses to see the tips of a river.

a rustle behind them caught their attention. Charlie's hand snaked over his seraph blade, pulling it out and turning around.

"Get down." Cole hissed.

"What is it?"Charlie whispered.

"Max's dogs, Rex I think," Cole answered.

"He's looking for us?" Jenna asked.
