"This is really happening"

She didn't know if she should break down or smile, so she did both.

"Congratulations Ms. Poraz"

"Thank you, thank you so much"

She wanted to call someone, to call Spencer, to call Penelope, to call everyone, but she called Lysandra instead.

"Confirmed?"

"Confirmed"

"Congratulations Novak"

"Thanks Lys"

"You do understand that you still have to be under protection, right?"

"I figured, hey, I'm gonna head home. We can talk there, okay?"

"Alright, drive safe"

Karyn arrived home, locking her door behind her and taking a seat on the couch in her living room. She pulled out her phone, calling Lysandra.

"So, baby names?"

"Um, if they're a boy, I'd like to name him Liam, and if they're a girl, Diana, Diana Emily Reid"

"Poraz, you can't give her his last name"

"Right, sorry. Diana Emily Poraz"

"Sounds great"

[eight months later]

"Happy birthday Eliana!"

She smiled and wiped her tears, rubbing her big belly.

"Thanks you guys, this means a lot"

They were mostly people from her parenting classes, and even some friendly neighbors.

"So, when are you due?"

"Um, any day now, actually"

"Wow, that would be something if you gave birth to her on your birthday"

"It would, wouldn't it?"

"So, you never told us who the father is, would you mind sharing?"

"Um, he was the greatest thing that ever happened to me, other than this wonderful joy I'm carrying"

"How long were you with him? And what was his name?"

"I was with him for a year, and his name? His name is Spencer"

"Why'd you leave him?"

"Things just kind of, stopped being exciting. We slowly drifted"

"Aw, that sounds sad. Does he know, about your baby?"

"No, he doesn't"

"Why haven't you told him?"

"I don't know"

She couldn't tell him because it would compromise her hiding and she'd have to die again, and Lysandra ordered her to stop all contact with her old friends, which killed her.

"What are you naming her?"

Yes, the baby was confirmed to be a girl.

"Diana Emily"

"Why those names?"

"They have significant meaning to me"

Suddenly, she felt a sharp pain in her stomach, causing her to wince and hold her stomach.

"Are you okay?"

"Yeah, just a little pain"

"Here, sit down"

She nodded and took a seat, leaning back and rubbing her stomach. She panted and gasped when another sharp pain shot through her.

"Oh my god"

"We have to get her to a hospital"

"What? What do you mean?"

She looked around at them, confused and in pain.

"You're going into labor Eli"

"Birth is as safe as life gets"
