Dan's P.O.V.

Bang! Creak! " Dan did you brake something again?" Phil yelled, stepping into the kitchen. I frowned.
" No. It's someone nextdoor." I replied, flipping the pancakes over. Delilah sat down and grabbed a plate of pancakes. " Actually last night I saw people moving in next door. You know what this means..." She grinned.
" We'll actually have to socialise blah blah blah. Delilah, that was the old us, we can interact with other people." I smiled. She shrugged and continued to pour a shit ton of syrup into her plate. My eyes flickered to Phil's, his blue ones gleaming with joy. " Well I'm happy that we're getting new neighbors, it'll be a good change from the last ones." He chuckled. Lilah rolled her eyes. " Yeah, I don't think anyone could be worse. They never stopped throwing loud annoying parties!" Phil and I laughed at her snarky comment as I laid the rest of the pancakes onto a plate. " We'd better get going Delilah, you gotta get to school!" She kissed Phil goodbye and slung her backpack over her shoulder as we headed out the door. Our car was parked outside of the building as we headed towards it. Both of us climbed into the car and headed to the school. " Daddy, do you think you'll like our new neighbors?" I asked, fiddling with my backpack straps. He sighed. " Even if they're the weirdest people ever, I'll still be kind to them. And do will you."
I scrunched up my forehead and frowned, slouching into the leather seat. Today was a cloudy and luminous day, not a glimmer of sun leaked through the clouds. As we were driving, small rain droplets hit the window, spilling down the sides of the car. Today I just wanted to curl up on the couch, cuddle under the blankets, and binge watch my new favorite TV series while eating popcorn. But instead I was going to the crappy school... " We're here Delilah!" Dan said, snapping me back to reality. Fricking dad always ruining my fantasies about not going to school. " Yippee..." I muttered glumly.
He managed a smile and I kissed him goodbye. " I'll pick you up after school Lilah. Goodbye!" He yelled after me.
I waved one last time and went on my way to the entrance. " Hey!!!" A pair of warm hands gripped my shoulders unexpectedly, their hot breath on my neck. I glanced back and smiled.
" Don't do that ever again okay Cameron?" I sighed. She grinned.
" I scared you didn't I?"
I rolled my eyes and punched her lightly in the arm. " Come on Cam or we'll be late!" I pleaded.
She smiled once more and we dashed to class. I plopped down into my seat, the feeling of pain shot through my body. " I sat on a pencil, didn't I?" I said through gritted teeth.
" Yep." Cam giggled, sitting down.
I removed the pencil and took out my supplies, then something caught my eye. A boy, but... One I had never seen before. " Cam, who's the new kid?" I whipsered. She shrugged her shoulders, but quickly wiggled her eyebrows. " Idk, but he's pretty cute." She whispered back. I could feel a slight cringe in my body. Cameron was an... interesting child. But then again that's why she was my friend, and that's why Dan approved of her.
Phil on the other hand kept saying she was edgy, it was pretty funny. Then again Cameron was right, he was pretty cute. He had soft grey eyes with a hint of blue, ruffled black hair, and dimples deeper than Dan's. All you fangirls out there, please don't hurt me! But there was something about him that bothered me. Something I knew that no one else knew. I had seen him before. He was my new neighbor.
