Phil's P.O.V.

" Dinner is ready!" I announced as Dan passed out the plates full of stir fry. Dan seemed to be very uneasy ever since Dakota showed up. And it didn't help he was sitting right next to Delilah. They were laughing and talking, having a good time and I was happy for them. But Dan didn't like it one bit. I watched him glare in their direction, scrunching his forehead and pressing his lips together.
He casually sat down next to Dakota, hoping to keep an eye on them. Delilah gave him her classic stare, pretty much saying go away. " Don't mind me, just trying to get to know you, Dakota." Practically hissing his name. Dakota shrank back, his grey eyes full fear. " Well anyways, so you're an only child?" Delilah asked.
He nodded his head. " I want a sibling but my parents can't take care of another child. I'm guessing you are too?" He smiled weakly. She nodded her head. Dan looked like he would slap him. Which is weird because he's usually the calm one. Dakota was getting closer and closer to Delilah with every word. I was just waiting for Dan to lash out. But instead he did something else. " Phil can I talk to you for a second in our room." He muttered through gritted teeth.
I nodded my head. As the door slammed shut he yelled in rage. " Why the hell is trying to make a move on our daughter?!"
" Dan he's not doing anything wrong, they're just friends okay?" I replied soothingly. He bit the inside of his cheek, containing his rage. " You're right, you're right. I'm just overreacting. It's just I've never had to deal with this kind of stuff before." He sighed.
" What about Oliver?"
" Just remember, he's gay."
I shook my head. I knew Dan would get along with Dakota just fine. It just needed a little time.
