Delilah's P.O.V.

I stared at the mysterious boy, his soft grey eyes lingering around the room. This guy was my new neighbor! I knew I had seen him before. When he was loading things into the house I had caught a glimpse. He had looked back at me, but he didn't say anything. Typical guy thing. " Okay class I have an announcement, everyone sit down!!!" Mrs Cherry yelled, everyone rushing back into their seats. " We have a new student. His name is Dakota Grace and he will be joining our class." She smiled. He gradually smiled, dimples deepening, and he scanned the room for a seat. The only empty seat. Next to me.
He ambled over to the seat next to me, his ruffled hair covering his eyes. " Hi, I'm Delilah. Don't expect me to not make fun of you okay dimples?" I said sarcastically, holding out my hand as he sat down. He grinned, swishing his midnight black hair out of his eyes, and shook my hand. " Nice to meet you, I guess." He mumbled.
He was the exact opposite of Oliver, my friend. Oliver was nerdy, over- talkitive, he made corny jokes, and he wasn't all that attractive. In my opinion, other girls liked him. Dakota seemed very shy, but not for long. Once you sit next to me for a week, you'll never stop talking and telling me to shut up. Mrs Cherry glared at me, giving me the eyes. " You'd better be nice to our new student!" She said through gritted teeth. " Don't worry, dimples won't be a problem." I grinned. I leaned over and whispered in his ear. " Don't mind her, she's not really nice to anyone. Especially me." I giggled. He laughed along with me and we eventually started class. This was going to be a fun year.
