Chamony didn't know what she and Isaac were, and despite that lingering uncertainty; she was okay with that.

They had kissed and continued to do so on a regular basis. In fact, they became a lot more hands on in the week since the kiss. His arm stayed around her as they walked campus, his lap became her seat whenever they were around each other and he stayed including her in his Snapchat stories.

He had taken a liking to including her in them before, but this was different. The captions were different, including some that only had smiley face emojis.

She had even made a bold move, posting a picture of the two on her Instagram. It wasn't anything special, just a moment capturing him whispering something in her ear and her looking annoyed. She had captioned it "Literally our relationship in one photo." He reposted it on his profile and added a heart emoji, but she hadn't asked him about it.

That wasn't them. They didn't ask each other questions. It was moreso a type of partnership where they just waited for each other to bring the subject up.

It didn't work for a lot of people, but for them, it was perfect.

"I don't know why the hell you don't wear stuff like this more often," Dana shakes her head. "Your body is insane."

"My stomach looks chubby."

Vashti rolls her eyes, "No it doesn't."

"You lie," Chamony pokes, adjusting the plaid shirt tied around her waist.

"There's no sense in trying to reason with her," Dana sighs. "She's almost as stubborn as her boyfriend."

"He's not my boyfriend," Chamony shouts from the bathroom as she looks at her reflection in the mirror. Her hair is now bone straight thanks to her best friends talent with a flat iron and two torturous hours of sitting and waiting for the girl to finish. The outfit put together by her roommate is red, black, and white aka their school colors. True to her fashion, she has a bare face with only mascara and a light coat of lip balm.

"And the three of us aren't three shades of melanin royalty at its finest," Vashti rolls her eyes and then calls for the girls to come on. "Your non-boyfriend boyfriend asked us to get there early."

"I can't believe I'm doing this."

For the first time since Sammy became sick, Chamony wasn't going home early Saturday morning. No, instead she was heading to Isaacs game. Surprisingly, he hadn't asked her to go.

Elisha caught wind this weekend was Saylor's homecoming and threw the biggest fit, demanding her little sister go and enjoy herself. She had never attended and Elisha was passionate in her argument that it would be a tragedy for Chamony to have never attended one before graduation.

It took a lot of yelling from both sides, but the two siblings reached a compromise. Instead of heading back to her campus Sunday afternoon, she would leave late Sunday evening to give her more time with Sammy.

While Dana already had plans to attend, Vashti invited herself simply to insure Chamony kept her word.

Isaac, upon finding out she was going, hid his his excitement well, but she could tell he was happy about her finally coming to see him play.
