No Apologies

Chamony went home that day.

At least, that's what was told to Isaac by Dana.

Saylor, for whatever reason decided to have their Thanksgiving Break start the Tuesday after the game so many students had plans to just leave between Friday and Sunday. Initially, Chamony, being the studious individual she is, had planned to go home Monday after classes ended.

However, after the altercation with Isaac, she ended up going home Saturday night.

He had tried to reach out to her, but she wouldn't reply to any of his texts. It wasn't until he tried calling her and it went straight to voicemail, multiple times, that he realized she had blocked him. The blocking wasn't limited to just her phone, but on Snapchat, Instagram and Facebook.

He had been so desperate to try and talk to her that he had sent out an email to, but she didn't reply to that either.

He had been too nervous to try and reach her via her sister, so he tried Vashti first who all but told him to go to hell. Dana had been a little more understanding, suggesting he gave her some time which ended up ticking him off.

She needed time? For what. He couldn't understand what the big deal was. Sure, his brother had been way out of line and his father had only been slightly better, but it wasn't like she had never been exposed to people like him. Her own mother and grandfather were racist. In fact, he believed that if the roles had been reversed and he was subjected to being around the elder Well's, she would have done the same thing by siding with her family.

As much as he liked and cared about Chamony, his family would always come first. No matter what.

The three Gardner men had sworn to stick together after Amelia's death and though even he could admit, Greg and Carson had their flaws; they were still his blood.

Blood would always be thicker than water.

So, Isaac decided he would just forget about Chamony. He had tried to make things right, tried to reason and talk with her, but she was being childish. He didn't have time for games. If that was the case, he could have still been with Sydney.

If Chamony wanted to let her silly pride get in the way of their relationship then so be it.

His first day back home, one of the first things he had done was also block Chamony on all platforms. Any trace of them being on each other's profiles had disappeared and he could have cared less. It hurt, yes. But, he refused to allow or admit hurt, so he replaced it with disinterest.

When his brother had asked him about her, he had quickly cast her off as just some "smart black girl."

Any conversation that included either Greg or Carson asking about her always ended with Isaac making a joke about the girl and the three men leaving it at that.

If Chamony wanted to be childish then so could he.

He had even decided to unblock Sydney off Snapchat and welcomed the sexy (occasionally nude) photos she would send and even planned to hook up with her when they go back from break.

Of course, when the first day back rolled around, he reneged on the deal.

Sydney was gorgeous, but not enough for him to be willing to let her back in his life.

He decided to leave that door closed.

The first day back also signified the week before midterms began and that, for the first time, was something Isaac looked forward to. Between his hectic football schedule and studying, he would barely have anytime to even think about Chamony.
