"Do you ever plan on returning to your place?"

"At this very moment in time? No."

"Dana's gonna start charging you rent."

"Naw. Dana and me have an understanding."

"Lies," she sings softly, continuing to run her small hands over Isaac's back, working meticulously to smooth out any and all knots. "I should charge you for this."

"You're my girl," he mumbles, enjoying the feel of not only Chamony's magical touch, but also the strange comfort he gets from having her on his back. "It comes with the territory."

"I didn't sign up for this."

"Sure you didn't Moni," he sighs in ecstasy, eyes shutting as he attempts to take a quick nap.

Chamony groans and his eyes open when her fingers stop moving.

"What are you doing?"

"I need another book," she announces, and he looks over his shoulder to see a thick paperback book to her side, held open, seemingly, on its own. "The suspense is becoming too much."

"Punk."

"Bully."

She rolls her eyes and lifts her leg to the other side of his body to slide off him. However, he has other plans.

"Bolton!" She yelps as he flips over and pushes her on her back, his muscular body hovering over her small, but curvaceous figure.

"Don't go," he murmurs, burying his head in the crook of her neck.

"I'm not," she says blankly. "This is my place, remember?"

He chuckles, closing his eyes once again as she places her hands on the back of his neck, playing with his hair.

"You have practice in two hours," she reminds softly, partially to refresh his memory and also to see if he's even still awake.

He mumbles what sounds likes a 'mmmhmm' and she rolls her eyes. When he drops down on her, still making sure not to apply too much of his bodyweight on her, she realizes he has no plans on leaving anytime soon. So, decides to leave him be.

In the weeks following Sammy's passing, Chamony had been coping as well as could be expected. She had her good days which consisted of only thoughts of the little boy, her bad days which included bouts of crying and thoughts of him and those in between shades of gray days where it was a mixture of black and white. Nevertheless, one thing remained a constant and that was Isaac. Whether it was 10am or 1am, he made himself available for her and if he wasn't available because of football obligations, rest assured she was the first person he sought as soon as he got the chance.

She had also been to his past two games citing it was because she wanted to support him, but he knew that was just a reason. The reason was because being at the games, at the stadium remind her of him. Of Sammy. She felt close to him by being in his element.

Even more, it seemed like all of the men she had 'messed around with' in the week proceeding Sammy's death were scared to even look in her direction, let alone let her name leave their mouth. The only one who still liked to send her winks and smirks was Rashawn, but that was only during the few times she was alone. Most of the time though, Isaac liked to see that she wasn't alone at any period. She always noticed at least one football player within five feet of her when Isaac was unavailable.

And of course, Vashti and Dana were always with her when she wasn't with the tight end. Dana, more so than Vashti as the girl attending a different higher education facility made things a little more difficult. Of course, she still spoke to Chamony several times a day. Elisha did the same as well, the two even closer than they were before. Hell, even Angela and her were talking more.
