Jealousy

(Y/N)'s POV

I woke up the next morning on the couch with arms wrapped around me. I looked up a bit and saw Laurance snoring lightly. I smiled and wriggled out of his grasp. I stood up and noticed the soda cans and popcorn bowls scattered on the floor. There was a couple blankets on the armchair, so I grabbed one and threw it on Laurance. He shifted a bit, but stayed asleep. I moved on to cleaning up the bowls and cans off the floor and take them to the kitchen. I threw the cans in a bag and put the two or three bowls we used in the sink to wash them later.

After cleaning up a bit, I heard some footsteps shuffling over to the kitchen. I turned around and saw Laurance. "Morning sleepyhead." I sang. He waved and walked over to me. "Have a good nap?" I asked, while cleaning the dishes. "It was more than a nap, but good. I feel kinda crappy though." Laurance said. "Well next time, we'll think twice than to just watch movies and eat nothing but popcorn and drink soda for hours straight." I said smartly. "I'll keep that in mind. Thanks babe." Laurance said sarcastically.

"You're very welcome." I said and continued cleaning. Laurance helped out by putting some of the bowls away and cleaning up the carpet. After finishing up, Laurance and I plopped back down on the couch. It was around 9:00 in the morning. I had to be at the cafe by 12 pm. Laurance didn't have work today, so he was going to the cafe with me.

Laurance's POV

I was sitting on the couch with (Y/N) when I heard my phone go off. I took it out from my pocket and saw a text message from Dante.

D: dude where are you
L: at (Y/N)'s place. y?
D: wait...did you guys...?
L: no. we just watched movies and we ended up falling asleep
D: try explaining that to Garroth
L: yea ik
D: also you gotta come home
L: y?
D: we got a new roommate
L: who? and why?
D: his names Travis...and Garroth and I spent the rent money buying feathers
L: this is why I said no feathers
D: we couldnt help it!!!!!
L: fine i'll be on my way
D: great

I sighed and put my phone back in my pocket. "Everything okay?" (Y/N) asked. "Sure...you could say that." I said. She raised an eyebrow. "Garroth and Dante used our rent money to buy feathers." I huffed. "I'm not surprised." She said. "Yeah. I have to head home and meet our new roommate." I said. (Y/N) nodded. "Good luck with that." She said, standing up. I nodded. "I'll be sure to stop by the cafe later on." I said. "Got it." (Y/N) said. I pecked her cheek and went back to my place.

I opened the front door and saw Garroth, Dante, and who I assumed was Travis standing in the living room. I made eye contact with Dante before waving me over to him. "Hey Laurance!" he said. I waved and walked over to them. I stood in between Garroth and the new guy.

"This is Travis! He's our new roommate. Travis, this is Laurance." Dante said, introducing us. I shook his hand. "Hey. Glad to meet you." He said. "You too." I replied. "So Travis will be moving into the basement. He already has his stuff in there." Dante explained. "Also, Dante told me there would be babes. Where are they?" he asked.

Oh great. Another flirt. I thought as I mentally facepalmed. "Really Dante?" I asked. I'm pretty sure I'm the only sane one left in this household. "What?! There was no other way to get him to fully move in here! I don't wanna move out of this neighborhood." Dante said. "Plus, he went to the same high school as us." Dante added. "Yeah. Are some of those babes here?" Travis asked.

"Yeah! There's Katelyn, KC, (Y/N)--" "No." I said, cutting Dante off. "What? Oh wait! Never mind! (Y/N) isn't included in that list." Dante said. "Why? With a name like that, she ought to be hot!" Travis replied. "She's already taken by someone." I said, gritted through my teeth. "By who? No man could possibly beat me in winning the ladies over." Travis said, whilst flexing. "By me." I said sternly. "You touch her...you'll be out of this household." I said, getting angry. "Okay...chill dude." Travis said. "Yeah...okay." I said.

The four of sat around the living room and kept talking. Actually, it was more like Garroth , Dante, and Travis were talking and I was playing on my phone. It was around 11 am at the moment. I left the group to do their own thing and went to take a shower and then head over to the cafe.
