(Y/N)'s POV
The boys and I were about to leave the cafe when a man with a grey suit walked up to us. He was about the same height as Laurance or Garroth. He looked like he was in his late 50's or 60's since he had some wrinkles and grey hair.
We turned around and saw another man who looked about 30 behind him. He was wearing a black suit. "Um...hi? Can we help you?" Laurance asked.
"Hello. My name is Brenton Miller. I just watched your performance and am very impressed." said the older man. He extended his hand. I shook it. Brenton Miller? Like Miller's Record Label?! I thought. "Oh! Thank you. I appreciate it." I said, letting go of his hand. "I happen to be the owner of Miller's Record Label and was wondering if you'd like to try and record in one of our studios. Your singing is quite amazing." Brenton asked. I felt my heart race.
Was I really going to be signed to a record label? Was this a dream? Becoming a professional artist was one of my childhood dreams. I know, I know it's what every little girl dreams of. People always told me I had an amazing voice for singing and that I should try singing in public...rather than just in the shower. I had taken singing lessons after college for a about two years before getting a performance job...gig...thing here at the cafe.
"You mean like a record label?" I heard Garroth ask, which snapped me out of my trance. "We'll see then. We want her to see the studio first. If she wants to record in it." Brenton explained. "That's awesome!" Dante said. "Didn't you want to do something like that in high school?" Dante asked. I nodded, turning my head to face him. I turned to face Brenton again. "How about this? We take you to see the studio and we'll give you a couple a days to see if you'd like to continue recording." he suggested.
"Alright then! Deal!" I said excitedly. "Great. We'll meet you there." Brenton said. He pulled a business card out of his suit pocket and handed it to me. I took it as he and the other man walked away. I turned to face the boys. Laurance pulled me into a tight hug. "I'm proud of you babe." He said and kissed my forehead. "Woo!" Garroth, Dante, and Travis clapped for me as Laurance let go, but still held my hand.
"We'll leave you three to head to the studio. Travis and I will head back home." Dante said. I nodded. Travis and Dante waved goodbye and left. "What are we waiting for? We have a studio to get to!" Garroth said. I giggled and walked out of the cafe with Laurance and Garroth.
TIMESKIP TO THE STUDIO
The boys and I made it to the studio and damn was it huge. The studio was a large building that was four stories up. It had a blue and white theme to it so the windows and doors were tinted blue while the rest of the building was white. "Holy shit..." I trialed off as I looked at the building in awe. "I know right...just imagine how fancy it must be on the inside!" Garroth said, looking up as well. "Mother of Irene Garroth." Laurance facepalmed. "I'm just saying!" Garroth replied.
"Come one! I want to go see it!" I said tugging on Laurance's sleeve like a little kid. He chuckled. "Okay, okay. Let's go. You too Garroth." Laurance said, sounding like a dad. "I'm not five Laurance!" Garroth whined. "If that's what you think." Laurance replied. I rolled my eyes and grabbed both their hands, dragging them into the building.
I eventually let go of the two as we saw Brenton approach us. He had a cup of coffee in hand. "Ah! You're finally here. Glad you made it well." he greeted. "Thanks for allowing us to come." I smiled. "We'll give you three a tour and then you can try out some equipment." Brenton said. The three of us nodded and followed him around the studio.
After about a 20 minute tour, we made it to an empty recording room. We walked in. Brenton stayed by the door as Garroth, Laurance, and I scurried over to the equipment. This set up was unlike any other I've ever seen. It was so high tech and must've cost these guys at least a couple hundred thousand dollars. They must have a lot of people recording here.
"If you want to try out the equipment in the room go ahead." Brenton said. I looked up from the equipment and walked in the room with a microphone set up and some headphones hanging on it. I played around with the mic and headphones while Garroth and Laurance were playing with the audio.
This company is amazing. There's no way anyone could decline an offer with the Brenton Miller. I know I wasn't going to.
