Facing the End

Ashley's POV:
I still couldn't believe that this is happening. Zombies? really? I tried to not think about it, so I just closed my eyes.

All of the sudden I turned around and there were 100 zombies behind me, I started running but couldn't stop all the zombies jumped on me. One bit me. I knew what that meant. I WAS A ZOMBIE. Blood started coming out of my mouth. I start making a growling noise. I went towards a little girl and she started screaming. All the sudden I was the one that started screaming. I opened my eyes wide and sat up from bed. I had realized that it was just a nightmare, it was like double the zombies. In real life and in my dreams. I couldn't stop thinking about it.

I heard someone running down the hall. They ran into my room. It was Asa. "Ashley! are you ok?" "yeah I'm fine, just a nightmare" I responded. Asa came over to the bed and sat on it with me. All the sudden his arms were around me, and I started crying. "Asa, why did this have to happen? I didn't even think zombies were real until my mom died." I asked Asa with a tear rolling down my cheek. "Ash, I really don't know but I'll always be here for you. To comfort you. To make you feel safe" Asa said. "Don't worry." He continued and wiped away my tear. His arms still around my waist, there was a silence between us. I noticed that he fell asleep. I was so comfortable in his arms I didn't bother waking him up to go back to his room. So I just fell asleep.

When they woke up the next morning they were still in shock. You could tell on there faces, they were still frightened. They didn't say anything about it cause they didn't want to upset each other. "Good morning" Asa said to Ashley. "good morning Asa." she replied and they went down stairs. "Would you like breakfast?" Asa asked. "Yes please." Ashley responded. Asa made eggs and bacon. They both scarfed down there food. when they were done Asa asked Ashley if she wanted to watch a movie. She agreed. When they turned the tv on "The Walking Dead" was on. Ashley burst into tears and her head fell into Asa's lap. "I miss my mom" Ashley said. "I know you do." Asa said while putting his fingers through her hair. she sat up and put her head on his shoulder. They turned on the movie. they watched Seventeen Again. Ashley loved that movie. During the movie Asa put his arms around Ashley. He looked at her, she looked back. "You have no idea how much I love you" Asa whispered.

Ashley's POV:
Asa is making me feel 100x better. Yes, I'm devastated that my mom died, and pissed that my dad technically left us. but ever since I met Asa, just something about him made me feel whole. While we were watching a movie he leaned in and kissed me passionately. He put his fingers through my hair and just didn't stop kissing me. In that moment, I lost all thoughts of my mom and zombies and was just focused on Asa.

Asa eventually stopped kissing her and just hugged Ashley tight. Asa had the idea to go on a date at the park. "Babe, would you like to go to the park instead if watching this movie?" Asa asked. "Yes!!" Ashley replied. They got ready and headed to the park. They had no idea what was in store for them.
