"Ally, wait up!" you called to your friend who was running toward the water. The two of you were at the beach in Los Angeles since you were on vacation. you had come down to California for spring break, to catch some rays and watch your favourite hockey team, the Dallas Stars play.
You finally caught up to her, joining her in the water. The two of you splashed around and laughed for a while, then decided to go suntan.
"Al, pass me the sunscreen will ya?" you ask her, laying down beside her with your eyes closed.
"Here y/n, but I don't see why you need it, the sun must've gone behind a cloud." she told you as she passed you the bottle of sunscreen.
You look up to check out the situation, but realize that there were no clouds in the sky. the thing blocking your sun was a muscular athletic looking man, who was handsome at that.
"Can I help you? you're blocking my light," you tell him, slightly annoyed.
"Sorry miss, but your beauty shines as bright as the sun, you don't need any more," he says, trying to be smooth but just sounding cheesy.
"Well that's a cheesy pickup line if I ever hear one," you laugh, turning to face him now. he sits down in front of you.
"I'm Tyler Seguin," he says extending a hand for you to shake.
"Y/n y/l/n," you tell him shaking his hand.
"We're coming to your game tonight," you say, nodding at Ally who fell asleep.
"You cheering for me?" he asks, winking.
"You bet! Go Stars!" you tell him and he laughs.
The two of you hang out for a couple of hours, until he tells you he has to go.
"I'll pick you up at your hotel after the game, I'm taking you out for dinner," he tells you, putting his number into your phone.
"Are you now?" you ask laughing.
"Yes ma'am," he says smiling at you.
You wake up a sunburnt Ally telling her what happened.
"Oh my god! what? Lets go get you ready!!"
She wasn't even mad that she was sunburnt.
