"I'll see you soon baby, go kick some ass!" You tell your boyfriend Connor McDavid as he boards his plane to Montreal. You were very proud of your boyfriend for making the juniors team, but were a little bummed out that you wouldn't be spending Christmas together.
You took your time driving home from the airport, not having any plans for that day. You stopped at the local mall and shopped around, picking out a nice sweater as a Christmas gift for your mom. After about an hour of shopping you decide it's time to go home.
You awake through your front door to be greeted by your parents who were both sporting very crazy grins on their faces.
"Guys, why are you smiling creepily like that?" you ask, slightly concerned. Last time they looked at you like that they sent you off to your crazy aunt Barbara's for a month.
"Sweetie, we need you to go upstairs to your room right now and pack a bag of stuff! You need enough to last 10 days" they tell you as they rush you upstairs.
Oh great, you thought. another trip to aunt Barbara's.
You quickly pack your bag and go back downstairs, where you see your parents standing there with your team Canada hockey jersey that Connor gave you as part of your Christmas gift.
"Don't forget this!" Your mom happily said as she ushered you out the door.
You and your parents piled into the family vehicle and started towards the airport. "guys what the hell is going on?" You asked. The suspense was killing you, you just had to know what was happening.
"Well y/n, you know how much your mom and I like to watch hockey, especially at such a high level." your dad started.
"Yeah.."
"Well we figured since it's so close, we could go watch the world juniors tournament!" Your mom squealed, cutting your dad off.
"Ahhhhhh!!! You guys are the best!" You scream as you hug your parents.
The flight was quick and before you knew it you were in Montreal. you couldn't wait to go see Connor!
You decided you'd go wait at the rink the boys were practicing at so Connor could see you right away.
The team had just finished practice and were getting off the ice. you noticed Connor but he didn't see you at first.
Seeing as he was the last player off the ice you casually walked up behind him and said "hey, aren't you Connor McDavid?"
Assuming it was just a fan he turned around and said "yeah.." that's when he realized it was you.
"Y/n! What are you doing here baby?!" He asked excitedly as he grabbed you into his arms.
"I couldn't spend Christmas away from my favourite hockey player! Besides, how will you win if I'm not here? I'm your good luck charm aren't i?"
He smiled at your joke and pulled you in for a kiss
This was going to be the best Christmas ever!
