Hockey One Shots

You and your friend Alex had gotten tickets to a Halloween social that was happening in Montreal. You were both in University and needed something to do, so you figured you'd check out the party.

You had met Alex your first day of University, when she dropped a box of stuff she was moving into her dorm across the hall from yours. You had been inseparable ever since.

The social was that night, and it was a costume party since it was Halloween. You and Alex were total girls at heart and decided to dress up as princesses. She went as Belle from Beauty and the Beast and you went as your favourite princess, Cinderella. You had a beautiful white gown and a mask on so nobody would know who you were. After hours of getting ready you were ready to go.

As soon as you got into the social you noticed a couple of familiar faces. You made small talk with some people and moved from group to group.

You left Alex and a group of people you knew from school to go to the punch table when you bumped into somebody.
"Sorry, I wasn't..." she couldn't even finish her sentence because at that moment you realized that you was staring into the beautiful eyes of Brendan Gallagher.
"No, it's okay," he laughed, finding it cute that you lost your train of thought.

The two of you just stood there staring into each other's eyes for about 30 seconds, when a slow song came on.
"Um, do you want to dance?" Brendan asked.
"yes, I'd love to," you happily replied.

The two of you danced together for a while, making small talk and answering random questions that the other would ask. You danced the night away, happy that you were with Brendan and that he was such a good guy.

Another slow song came on, and you were just staring into each other's eyes. He slowly started to lean down to kiss you.

"Hey!" Alex called urgently, ruining the moment between you and Brendan. Not now. You thought to yourself.
"What?" you asked, not wanting to leave Brendan for anything right now.
"Hey, It's almost 1 am! You know how crazy our dorm supervisor gets when kids get in later than that! We had to be gone like, yesterday!" she yelled at you, running towards the door.

"What-?" Brendan asked, a confused look on his face.
"I'm sorry, I have to go, but thank you, this has been the most amazing night!" you smiled at Brendan, running out the door behind Alex.

2 days later:

"Alex, this is killing me! I have NO CLUE where my phone is!" you yelled from your room across the hall, knowing she'd hear you.
"Well didn't you have it at the social?" she asked, puzzled as to where your phone might be.
"Yeah, I.... That's the last time I saw it! It must be there!" you exclaimed, grabbing your car keys. Leaving Alex to do homework, you sped off towards the place that the social was at.

When you got there, you looked everywhere, and asked anyone that you saw if they knew where your phone was. Unfortunately, nobody had any clue where your phone went. Disappointed you walked out of the building.

As you opened the door it hit somebody who was walking by, almost knocking the poor guy over.
"I'm sorry, I..." there it was again. That speechless butterfly feeling you got the last time you saw him. It was none other than Brendan Gallagher.
He searched your face, slowly recognizing you. You had to give him credit, he recognized you pretty fast considering the last time he saw you, you were wearing a mask!

"Hey! It's you! The girl! I have your phone you dropped it that night when you ran away, I didn't know how to get a hold of you!" he said excitedly, pulling your phone out of his pocket.
"Thanks Brendan! I've been looking for it everywhere!" you practically shouted. You wrapped him up in a big hug.
"Now since I returned your phone, can I have the number that goes with it? And your name, I don't think I even got it last time..."
"Y/N. And yes, you can definitely get my number Brendan." you smiled up at him, happy that you'd been reunited with your prince charming.
