Ella's P.O.V

(2 weeks later)

Everything was going smoothly, no wild thugs out to get us, I only worked when they needed an extra dancer. I moved in with Jack which makes sense since I was never at my old apartment anyway. Since there hadn't been problems Jack and I decided it was safe to go to a party. Not just any party either, a Nate party. When Nate hosted a party you knew you would be blessed to be there. Or so I'm told.

Jack got home from work a little later than usual, around 1 AM. "Hey" I smiled a little and continued watching the movie I was watching. "Hi baby" He let out a tired sigh and laid down next me with his head on my lap. "Nate's party is tomorrow night" I run my fingers through his hair. "Oh yeah, what're you wearing?" He glanced up at me. "Why?"

"So I can know if it's easy to rip off." He winked and sat up. I just rolled my eyes and smiled. "Let's go to bed" He picked me up bridal style, turned the tv off, and took me to our room. We both fell asleep quickly.

(The next night)

Nate's parties weren't casual, highschool, parties but they weren't a gala. They were like high class night clubs. I slid into my tight black dress. It was v neck with no sleeves and went to mid thigh. I did my makeup and left my hair in slight curls and put on black heels that boosted me to at least 5'5 and a half. Jack walked out in a black blazer, dark jeans and a black shirt. He looked like he was going to a funeral for all the pussy he's murdered. "We look good" I nod.

He pulled me toward the mirror, standing behind me. "We're going to be the hottest couple there." He smirked. "Definitley" I nodded and admired us. "Also, your ass looks amazing." He laughed and walked away. I rolled my eyes and grabbed my phone. We decided to drive my car just in case. If we drove Jack's people would realize it was his. You could already hear the music from the end of the drive way. It wasn't at Nate's actual house, it was at his 'bachelor pad'.

Jack held my hand as we walked in and we went straight to Natasha, Sam, Nate, Nate's hoe and Jack J. "Hey" I yelled and hugged them all. "Dangg! You look good tonight Ell" Sammy laughed. Gilinsky grabbed my waist protectivley and I giggled.

"Imma get drinks" Jack yelled over the music. I nodded and caught up with Natasha. "Ya know, it's wild how you've changed G." She said. "What do you mean?" I cocked my head a bit. "He's.. happier. I think you've made him leave his fuckboy days behind him" She said. I smiled.

Jack came back with two cups and handed me mine. I thanked him and took a sip. We both finished two cups and decided to dance. The makeshift  dance floor was crowded with sweaty people but we continued. It took a minute to get used to everyone being all up on me but after a bit I was too focused on Jack to care. A couple songs (and drinks) later we ended up going to our individual groups. Natasha, her friend Mila, and I were dancing and talking for about an hour and a half. I was still slightly drunk but sober enough to know what was happening.

Gilinsky had gone off with Johnson and some random guy named Ethan. "I should go find Jack" I told them. They nodded and I found Sammy. "Have you seen Jack?" I asked him. "Yeah, he was sobering up and then he went upstairs." He nodded toward the staircase. I thanked him and went upstairs. I decided to call him. All of the sudden I could hear rings coming from a room to my right, along with grunts and small moans.

My mind didn't comprehend it and automatically opened the door. I regret that so much. Jack had his head tilted back and some girl on top of him. My heart sunk into my stomach and ached. He opened his eyes and saw me. He jumped a bit and pushed her off. I started to rush out but he grabbed my wrist and spun me around. "Let go." I said in a shaky tone. "Listen, I-" and that was the worst part. He was sober. I couldn't even smell alcohol on him anymore. He had done this knowing exactly what it meant.

I felt my chest getting heavier and my legs getting weaker. My vision was blurred from the tears but I could still see Jack's mouth gapped open and the girl frantically finding her dress. I ran away quickly, running into Tasha. "Hey, what's wrong!" She stopped me. Tears were already falling down my cheeks.

"I was wrong, you can't change people"
