Meth Drew's POV

Christmas morning was spent in our new penthouse. Adele woke up to more presents than she knew what to do with, and Amy and I shared a look, knowing we would all be spoiling her so much more after this. Oh, well.

"Mommy, look! Santa bwought me two dolls!" My girlfriend's mini-me cried, showing Amy her presents.

"Really? What are their names?" Amy asked in mock-surprise.

"This one is Sawah and this one is Chwysta," she said proudly, holding the two up to show her mom. Of course, she couldn't just pick names that she could actually pronounce...

Amy smacked me over the head for that when Adele turned around. I rubbed the back of my head gingerly, but she just gave me a look.

"Mommy, Daddy, look! This one's fwom Glow Worm!" I snickered. The only word she could say with an "r" in it would be that awful nickname.

"Go ahead and open it, princess," she encouraged, leaning into my arms. We were sitting on one end of the couch together while my mom sat on the other and Brighton sat on the floor with the insatiable three year old. Adele tore apart the wrapping to reveal a ukulele-sized blue guitar.

"Glow Worm, how did you know?!" Our little girl exclaimed, jumping on him and hugging his neck.

"Yeah, how did you know?" Brielle questioned, raising an eyebrow. He shrugged with a modest grin.

"It is a Brit thing," was his excuse. Funny.

I got Amy a heart-shaped locket with a picture of Adele inside. I left the other side open, in case she wanted to put another picture inside.

Amy had also gotten Brighton the video game we had been waiting for. If we didn't have evening plans with the McDonough family, we would have played it until the early morning curfew Mom set.

Unfortunately, it was not to be.

Amy wore a short, gorgeous evergreen dress with a high collar but an open back, made of a very warm knitted material. She looked beautiful, and I held the door for her on the way into the classy ballroom that the McDonough family had prepared for this Christmas party. Apparently, Josh is the youngest of eight, most of whom are married with kids. Also present were some of the other artists from McDonough Studios.

The ones that definitely stood out, however, were AJ Tyler & the Kiss, the biggest name in the label other than Poe's Raven. According to Amy, there were five girls in the band that had been together since about 2012, so a little over three years. There was AJ Tyler, the leader who, though the front of the band, was one of the most down-to-earth people I had ever met, and her almost identical sister Lexxi, who is really kind and sweet, but came off as a little high maintenance. Then there was Sophie St. John, quiet as a mouse, but with sass the size of Texas. Also, there were the Bradson sisters, Skylar and Ty. Skylar's middle name was Attitude with a capital "A" and Ty, while she wore a dress to the party, would obviously have been more comfortable in jeans and a sweatshirt.

Lexxi and Skylar were both married, and the other three had boyfriends that were pretty well-known in the world. Lexxi had married Taylor Lavaugn, a currently famous actor that played a werewolf in the hottest teen saga in theatres. Skylar had married Ryan Bausten, a very accredited L.A. detective. Sophie was with Chad Summers, one of the best lawyers in California. Ryan and Chad work together in the same branch of the government out in L.A. forming some kind of dream team. Ty was dating a guy named Clayton Beadles, an up and coming actor.

AJ Tyler, the only one who was currently engaged, was on the arm of the one and only Justin Brando. Even I had heard of the international rock star. They were all very famous people.

The members of Poe's Raven weren't able to make it, which disappointed Amy greatly, but most of the McDonough family was there. Josh's parents, his siblings, his nieces and nephews... One of his brothers had six daughters! Not that they were all present.

Brighton elbowed me when we had a moment alone. "What are we getting ourselves into?" he asked me, looking wide-eyed around the room. We were both the only child in our families. This was so out of our element...

Amy had already befriended some of the cousins, talking and laughing happily. Adele had disappeared with the other young children to wreak havoc in the playroom especially set up for that purpose.

All in all, I would say the night went well.
