Brighton Andrews' POV

We met with Josh later on, just like he had requested. Meth, Amy, and I each had ideas we were bringing to the table in the form of songs and music video ideas. We were going to pick songs out of the ones we had written. The conference room was quiet when I got there, even though everybody was there except me. They were all just looking at one another.

"Always good to see you lot," I greeted them slightly disturbed. All at once, the turned and stared at me, speaking as one.

"You're late."

"You know, if I hadn't seen you all in a huddle earlier, I would be especially creeped out that you spoke at the same time," I replied disinterestedly, taking a seat next to Meth.

"Dang it, Brighton!" "I thought we had you!" "I do not like you right now." The last outburst came from Josh himself, who crossed his arms and pouted in the chair at the head of the long table.

"You are supposed to be the adult here," Amy informed the blonde haired man with a laugh.

"Whatever." Josh leaned his elbows on the table and rested his chin on his clasped hands. "Alright, down to business. For this next album, we are obviously going to have "Boundaries" as a track. I know it was short notice, and I have a songwriter in mind if you want to try her out. She's started a compilation album for the studio already... What are these?" While he was talking, Amy, Meth, and I had placed quite a number of papers in front of him.

"Songs," Meth answered in his gruff way.

"We've been writing nonstop for weeks," Amy filled in as he picked up a handful and started leafing through them, his eyes getting wider with each one.

"You've written all of these?" He asked, disbelievingly.

"Well, I wrote some and Meth wrote a few and Brighton wrote a bunch..." Our strawberry blonde friend informed him, pointing out the individual stacks. Josh was definitely not listening to her. He was leafing through each pile, picking each song up and looking at the sheet music for a moment before separating them into more piles.

"Alright, well... We don't have a full album yet, but we definitely have enough to work on until the other songs come to us," Josh informed us, holding up his final selections. Amy was practically bouncing in her seat.

"So? Tell us! What songs made the cut?" Meth and I nodded in agreement, also curious.

"I am holding three songs written by Mr. Brighton Andrews," he gave us a small drum roll on the table. "And they are; "We Answer Honestly", "Persuasion", and "The Dark Side". Very, very well written, Brighton, I'm impressed by how you are handling the Caila situation in "We Answer Honestly". It is very mature and tells the fans and the critics a lot about you as a person." I gave a barely perceptible nod, knowing that Amy would ask to see the song later in order to see what he meant. I had kept the song to myself, feeling a really deep connection with it.

"How many of mine did you use?" Amy asked, almost impertinently. Josh made a face at her. "Come on, you know that is the first thing that Adele is going to ask when I walk through the door," she explained, leaning in to try and glimpse the papers.

"Ugh, fine. We are going to use four of yours; "Cross My Heart", "Stay With Me", "Wild Horses", and "Paranoid". You did quite a bit of storytelling in these, which is a very good element for this next album." She grinned and met Meth's eyes, pride showing in both sets of orbs. "And we are using two songs from Meth's pile, as well."

"There were only two full songs in my pile," Meth pointed out, his voice a deep tone that reverberated through the room. "The rest were ideas or fragments."

"Well, we are using both," our executive producer said cheerfully. "The two songs "Guilty Pleasure" and "Angel" are obviously about Amy, which adds to the honesty element that Brighton introduced and ties it up nicely. Plus, they are a bit on the darker side, which ties in with your image. I don't know why I even thought to bring in a songwriter for you guys! Now I've got to find another artist for her to write for..." He started muttering to himself, picking up his phone and pressing some buttons. "Meeting adjourned. You start recording on Monday."

Well, alright, then...
