It's been a couple of years since you found your ex cheating. Not a day goes by where you found yourself crying to sleep every night. Two years later and the pain was still there. You knew that you needed to get out of this slump that you were in, but you wondered how. Five years was super hard to just throw out the window. You wondered how he could in just one night.
You ended up busing yourself with your new job as a marketing assistant. Luckly, the job had some awesome perks as well. Besides the generous pay, you were living the bicoastal dream. Just the fact that you were busy kept your mind off of thinking of him. You were finally starting to get back to your old self again. Then one day out of the blue, your boss gives you a call to have you come out to discuss a marketing project. You eagerly accepted and immediately started to pack your bags. You figured that you may be out there for a few months.
Once you settled in your apartment in Los Angeles, you called your boss to find out what time the meeting was. You found out that it was at 10 am, which worked out. You tried to get information on who the client was, but he was very tight lipped about it. You decided to let it go and get a good nights rest. You had a feeling that it was going to be a long day. The next morning, you arrived 30 minutes early and got things set up.
You hear your boss walks in and he is in deep conversation with the client. You looked up and your hear instantly dropped to your stomach. Your face paled and you immediately regretted taking on this project. Y/N, I'm glad you're here!! Let me introduce you to who you will be working with for the next 6 month, your boss stated. Six months, you thought to yourself. How am I going to survive this??? You put on a fake smile and prayed that you were professional at all times cause standing in the doorway was your ex, Jeremiah.
