"So what are you going to do tonight?" Kellin asked me over the phone. He had called me about an hour ago at midnight, complaining about how he couldn't sleep and he needed me to entertain him or he was going to go insane.

Even though he was a little shit, he was an adorable little shit.

"Well, I was going to sleep..."

"Shut up."

I chuckled softly, flipping onto my side and staring at my alarm clock. It read 1:15 A.M., and I had to get up in approximately six hours for school.

"You do realize that tomorrow is Monday, and we have school in approximately six and a half hours?"

"I've gone to school running on three hours of sleep before; I can do it again."

"But Kellin, I'm tired," I whined, throwing a mini fit-basically flailing my legs and arms all around my bed-and groaning. "Let me sleep."

"But Vic," he mocked. "I want to talk to you."

"About what?"

"I don't know, anything that comes to mind."

"Ugh, you're such an annoying little shit."

"Correction; lovable annoying little shit."

"Fair enough," I agreed. "But I'm not doing anything tonight, besides trying to convince my boyfriend to let me sleep so I don't fail my Biology test."

"Oh shit, that's tomorrow?"

"Yes..."

"Fuck, I'm sorry Vic! I didn't know your test was tomorrow! If I did, I wouldn't have called you this late. I'll let you sleep, sorrysorrysorry."

I sighed, rolling onto my back. I just couldn't get comfortable, and in the back of my mind, I knew why. "It's fine, Kells. I'll stay on for a little longer if you want?" I offered, feeling bad that I had made him feel guilty. I know, I'm weird like that.

"Are you sure?" he asked unsurely. "I'm seriously okay with letting you get some sleep. I understand how important it is to get sleep before a test, Vic, I do."

I smiled, curling up in my blankets because I was suddenly very cold.

"I'll only forgive you if you come cuddle with me," I bargained.

"Vic, it's one in the morning. I can't sneak out."

"But I'm cold and you're so warm," I sighed, curling into myself even more. "Ugh, fine. I'll just freeze to death and then fail my Biology test."

"Shut up, you dick," he laughed, and I could hear the sheets in the background rustling as he tried to get more comfortable. "You're just trying to make me feel guilty now."

"That depends."

"On what?"

"If it's working."

"I hate you."

"You love me," I said gleefully. He stayed silent, mumbling something under his breath.

"What was that?" I asked. He mumbled it again and I was getting frustrated. "Kellin, speak up, please."

"I said I'm getting there," he said loudly, then cursed under his breath. He was silent for another moment-probably waiting for his parents to wake up-and when they didn't, let out a breath he was holding. "I'm getting there, all right? I'm making my way towards loving you, and that really scares me, Vic. It really does."
