Chapter 2

After the short walk from town square to their house, They are reminded that even though last night was amazing, they still had to get ready for today. What other great reminder than her standing on the porch, looking impatient. Emily Gilmore.

"Lorelai, Rory, where have you been? I've been waiting for nearly 20 minutes!!" Emily says in complete Emily Gilmore fashion.

"We're sorry mom we got carried away talking and lost track of time." Lorelai smiled as sweetly as she could at her mother. Their relationship is slowly getting better, and even more so since Richard's passing, but they still had their moments.

"Why has Rory been crying? Rory are you hurt?" Emily says concerned when she sees the tear stained face of her only granddaughter.

"What? No, I'm not hurt, tears of joy grandma tears of joy." Rory lied.

Lorelai unlocked the door and they all went inside, to get ready and wait for Sookie and Lane to get there, as they were Lorelai's other bridesmaids.

"Kid you should probably tell grandma now before she finds out from somewhere or someone else. You know how upset she'll be." Lorelai whispered to Rory, so Emily wouldn't hear.

"Mom, I want to tell Logan first." Rory said.

"Ok kiddo, your choice." Lorelai said.

"What's her choice Lorelai? What's going on?" Emily said exasperated.

"Oh nothing mom, I was just telling her it is her choice on how to do her hair for today." Lorelai quickly thought up to cover what she really meant.

The rest of the day went off without a hitch. It was perfect, Lorelai looked gorgeous, and Luke even teared up when he saw her walking down the aisle, though if you ask him he'll never admit it. The reception was a blast, and in true Sookie fashion the food was amazing and the cake was over the top and pretty much the most delicious thing on the planet.

The next afternoon

"Loin Fruit! Get up!" Lorelai exclaimed opening Rory's bedroom door.

"Shouldn't you be hung over and way less cheerful right now?" Rory grumbled as she sat up in bed.

"No I shouldn't, I'm too happy, I'm Mrs. Luke Danes, finally!" Lorelai said in happy excitement.

"yes, yes you are, now can I lay back down?" Rory said grumpily.

"No kiddo you can't, we have to finish our discussion from yesterday, and come up with a game plan to tell "you know who."' Lorelai said, making quotation marks with her fingers.

"Ugh, I do not want to talk about this right now mom." Rory continued in her grumpy mood.

"Well, too bad we have to, that baby ain't growing any slower, and you should plan to do it sooner rather than later, because look how Luke feels about April's mom for keeping her from him. I know you and you wouldn't want Logan to feel that way about you, so lets get to planning!" Lorelai said as she turned on her heel to go start making coffee and getting the pop tarts ready.

Rory got up and shuffled in to the kitchen and sat down, she knew this was going to be a tough conversation.

"Mom, I think I should just book a flight to London to leave tonight, and just go straight to his office and tell him, no holding back, no chickening out, just go and be blunt about it." Rory said as she put her head down on the table.

Lorelai made two cups of coffee and opened two packages of poptarts and set them down as she sat down across from her daughter.

"Well that certainly shortened this conversation, you book, and then I'll help you pack. We'll go to the airport together. Luke and I's honeymoon flight takes off tonight too." Lorelai said in a matter of fact tone.

It was set, Rory was going to London to confront Logan and let him know that he was going to be a dad. Lorelai and Luke were going to fly off into the sunset to Bora Bora for a week. The Gilmore girls were packing everything and heading out.

"Call me when you land, and call me after you tell him. I'll call you when Luke and I land safely. Good luck, I love you, everything is going to be ok." Lorelai said to Rory as she drew her in for a hug before they parted way.

"I will mom, have fun, love you too. Love you too Luke!" Rory said. She hugged her mom one more time and hugged Luke too, and she got on her plane.
