Chapter 32

Logan's POV

Finn caught Rory as she was going down. I knew something had been wrong earlier but Ace just played it off like it was nothing, and she'd been so convincing I just let it go. Now she passed out and We are rushing to the hospital calling everyone along the way. Loreali, Luke, Emily, Honor& Josh, My parents, Francine, Christopher, Sookie, Lane, Paris, and then they're calling everyone else necessary. These boys are coming out today. June 3.

Colin was driving, and we were halfway to St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center when Rory started to stir.

"Logan, what's going on?" Rory said opening her eyes.

"Ace you gave us all the scare of a lifetime, We are on the way to the hospital." I said to her as I held her tighter now that she was awake.

"Ahhhhh" Rory yelled as she grabbed my hand and squeezed through the pain.

"Breathe Ace, Breathe." I said to her.

"Love you should have told us you were having contractions. Surprise visits like this aren't very fun." Finn said to her as she was trying to catch her breath.

"Well Finn, it wasn't that bad at first and it is still super early. Now, though, it is very bad and Colin, I'm sorry, I'll pay your a cleaning bill." Rory said grasping Logan's hand for another contraction.

"Rory pay a cleaning bill for what?" Colin asked looking in the rearview mirror confused.

"My water just broke." Rory said embarrassed.

"Mother, next time you have a baby and you think "it isn't that serious" tell us, because we don't want baby Huntzbergers born in the back of an SUV." Robert said laughing.

"Ace, we are having these babies today, at the end of the day we are going to be not one but two someone's parents." I said smiling at her.

"LOGAN! You don't have to push them out so stop smiling!" Rory retorted back to him.

We pulled up to the hospital and Finn and Robert jump out to get a wheelchair. I help Ace out of the car into the wheelchair. We head over to the maternity welcome desk and explain what has happened and they take us directly up to a birthing suite. They page Dr. K, and she arrives rather quickly.

"Are we ready to have some babies today?" Dr. K said entering the room.

"It's too early, we can't do it today!" Rory said squeezing my hand, I could tell she was scared.

"Now Rory, we discussed this multiples usually do come early and everything is fine. Now, Let's do an ultrasound to make sure they are both in position to come out the natural way like we planned." Dr. K said, as she squirted some ultrasound gel on Rory's belly. She moved the wand around and her brow furrowed.

"Doc, what's wrong? Is everything ok?" I asked noticing the reaction on her face.

"Logan, Rory, unfortunately one of the babies is breech, and there is too much umbilical cord tangling to get them both out safely through natural labor. We are going to take you for an emergency C-Section. I'm going to send the anesthesiologist in to get you prepped Rory. I'll see you In there." Dr. K said and she walked out.

"A c-section? Logan where is my mom?" Rory said as she started to cry.

"I'll go see if she is here yet, and update the guys as to what is going on so they can keep everyone informed as they arrive." I said as I quickly head out to the waiting room.

I walk out and the guys are flirting with the nursing staff to try to get back to see Rory, they stop when they see me. I tell them what is going on and to tell everyone as they get here. Just as I was about turn around and go back the room Lorelai came barreling down the hallway, Luke and Lane following behind.

"Where's my kid? Is she alright? How are the babies?" Lorelai rapid fired questions at me.

"Come with me, I'll explain as we walk. Rory is having an emergency c-section, the babies are all tangled up in the umbilical cords and one baby is breech. The doctor doesn't seem super worried, she just doesn't want to take any chances. Rory will be happy to see you." I said as we walked back to the room Rory was in. As we walked in the nurse handed me scrubs to wear in the OR.

"Oh Loin fruit!" Lorelai said sitting next to her daughter on the bed.

"Mom, I'm so scared I can't do it." Rory said, letting her mom hold her in a tight hug.

"Lorelai Leigh, you can and you WILL do this. You have two perfect little boys in there that are just waiting to come out. I will be right here waiting for you and your little family when you get back." Lorelai said. The nurses said they were ready for her and it was time for us to go.

We were wheeled in to the OR. Everything was going smoothly, Rory couldn't feel it, and I didn't want to see it. The doctor told us baby one was coming out. Rory said it didn't hurt but she felt the pressure. A few minutes later we heard the cry of our son, the doctor said he was perfect. It was the most beautiful sound in the world. Dr. K said in a couple of minutes we would have baby number 2 out. The nurse handed me Richard, while they were pulling the other baby out. He was perfect he dark brown hair like his mom. Rory kissed his cheek. The doctor got the second baby out. The sound of his cry was the most beautiful sound in the world. Everything was perfect until Dr. K spoke.

"Rory, Logan, you know how when you found out you were having twins, how I said ultrasounds can miss somethings?" Dr. K said.

"There better not be another baby in there." Rory yelled from the operating table.

"What's wrong Doc?" I asked concerned. The second baby sounded just as healthy as the first.

"Well Rory, there isn't another baby in there. However, baby number 2 might not appreciate Lukas as her first name." Dr. K said laughing.

"A girl?" I said, as I got the biggest grin on my face, and I look at Ace and she is speechless and starting to cry.
