Chapter 4
All the color drained from Rory's face, even though it felt like her entire body.
"Logan, Hi." Rory managed to get out.
"To what do I owe the pleasure, I thought you wanted to end things?" Logan said a little confused, but still happy. He was happy to see her standing here in front of him. He has had a rough couple of weeks. He came back from New Hampshire, and nothing felt right. He couldn't get into the groove with anything at work, and he hated going home. He spent many nights on the couch in his office. Odette just wasn't ever going to cut it for him. He knew it, she knew it. He got tired of the "dynastic plan." He finally 3 days ago broke everything off, he wasn't going to marry Odette. His father was furious, in fact he figured he would be showing up pretty soon to yell at him in person.
"Can we go in your office and talk, where it's a little more private?" Rory asked, trying to keep her stomach contents in her stomach.
"Sure Ace, right this way." Logan said, walking to his office. He opened the door and Rory walked past him and sat on the couch. He closed the door.
Rory sat there wringing her hands and not looking at Logan. Logan watched the love of his life sit there so nervous, and it made him sad because they used to have no problems telling each other everything.
"Ace, I have something tell you, before you tell me whatever it is you came to tell me." Logan said taking the biggest deep breath of his life, he stood up and started pacing.
"Ok? Go for it Logan." Rory said, still not looking up.
Here goes nothing, Logan thought to himself.
"Ace, it's you, it's always been you. Before you I wasn't "boyfriend" material, you changed that for me. You made me want to do better, to be better. You always loved me no matter how many stupid things I did. I love you Rory Gilmore, I've always loved you, there will never be anyone else for me. It's only you Ace." Logan stopped pacing and sat on the edge of his desk.
Rory looked up. She was trying to digest what was just said to her while picking her jaw up off the floor. It was the best thing she's ever heard, but there was still that nagging in the back of her brain. Odette.
"What about Odette? And your family's "dynastic plan?" Rory said shakily.
"I broke it all off 3 days ago. I couldn't do it anymore. I couldn't live a lie and I couldn't marry someone I don't love. I'm sure Mitchum will be by to see me anytime now, to yell at me some more in person. He's not very happy with me but I don't care. For the first time in a while I feel like I can breathe, I feel free." Logan said with the smile that crinkles his eyes.
Rory sat there for a few minutes silent, contemplating the best way to tell Logan, that well the freedom is coming to an end. That they are going to be parents.
She looks up at him and he's smiling at her.
"Logan, I think it's my turn. To share the news that I came here to share." Rory said, trying to gauge how he would react.
"Go on, then tell me!" Logan said nervously.
"Logan, I love you too. The last night we spent together, well it, it was amazing. So amazing you sent me home with a gift." Rory said.
Logan looked at her confused, he didn't remember giving her anything, that doesn't mean he didn't though. He sat there and thought a little more and then like an epiphany, he realized what she meant.
Rory watched Logan after she said it. She watched his confusion and then she saw it suddenly sink in. She knew he now knew what she meant.
"I'm going to be a father?" Logan asked in disbelief.
Before Rory had a chance to answer they heard a loud commotion outside of the office, and right before she was going to respond, the door violently burst open

FanfictionI do not own any of these characters. This is a tale of how I wanted to see the revival continue instead of ending with just those words.
