Chapter 44

Lorelai and Luke were walking towards the front door of Rory and Logan's house. They were so excited to get to spend time with Richard. They felt bad they weren't getting as much quality time with Finley. They had talked about it in the car, and they definitely had time to make up with their favorite little girl.

As they were walking up they got half way there and the front door swung open.

"GET IN HERE NOW!! YOU CAN'T BE OUTSIDE RIGHT NOW IT WILL RUIN EVERYTHING!!!!" Robert said rather loudly. Colin was standing in the living room with Richard in his arms. He was scattering flowers everywhere.

"Robert, what the hell?" Luke gave him a look as he walked past him at the door.

The three of them walked into the living room, and much to Lorelai and Luke's surprise.

"What? What is all of this? What is going on?" Lorelai said with tears in her eyes.

"Well grandmother, this is a welcome home party for the one and only Finley Lorelai Honor Huntzberger of course. Also another surprise, but we can't let you in on that one just yet." Colin said tossing flowers in Lorelai's direction.

"She's coming home? Why didn't anyone tell us? We are the grandparents after all." Lorelai said giving the boys a look.

"Well you see, we had some arrangements to make obviously, then we had to call other people to come here. We knew you would've been here soon anyways, so we used our time wisely to get everyone else here. Mitchum and Shira, Honor and family, and Emily should be here momentarily." Robert said looking around the room.

"Oh and Finn is supposed to be getting the cake." Colin piped in.

Just then the front door swung open without a knock.

"Where is my great granddaughter!? It will be marvelous to see her at home instead of at that stuffy hospital." Emily Gilmore walked in with the biggest smile on her face. The rest of the guests followed her In the house. Honor's children ran for the baby, making Colin sit on the couch to oblige their requests to the baby boy.

"Lorelai you look absolutely radiant. I love that dress!" Honor said hugging Lorelai and then winking at her, which definitely confused Lorelai. She thought this dress covered her small bump.

"We have cake! We have pink cake!" Finn said coming from the kitchen, he came in through the door by the garage.

"Well where are they?" Shira said impatiently.

"MOMMY! They're here!!" Olivia shouted looking out the window.

Colin stood up with Richard, making sure to hold him facing out ward.

A few minutes later in walked Rory, with Logan holding tight to Finley. Everyone clapped and cheered for the homecoming. Rory of course went straight for her son.

She stopped short to read what was on his onesie.

"Will you mommy (look at sister)" Rory looked confused turned around and saw Finn had taken Finley and was holding her in the same position Colin was holding Richard. Her onesie made Rory cry.

"Marry our daddy?"

Logan was down on one knee next to Finn.

"So what do you say Ace, want to make this an official family, where we all have the same last name?" Logan smiled at a tearful Rory.
